Have Higgins at F6 myself with Rohan at F7. I'll take 70s from a F6 any day of the week, and Rohan isn't leaking me points and at this stage I don't see any other rookies up front worth a trade to bring in (also have Taylor F8). Caddy too isn't killing me at F5, and whilst I wouldn't have started any of these in hindsight, I'll leave them be for now.

Tbh I'm really happy with my team 8)

McVeigh my only premium yet to ton up, should come good. Webster falls into the Caddy/Higgins category, 70s at D5 are perfectly fine for his pricetag.

This means only one thing.... the injuries are nigh!!!!

Not sure what to do with Rohan, McCarthy and McDonough but holding for now. Fasolo may be the answer next week

You have all 3 of them? Yikes  :o

Forward options are a real struggle this year!

I have the exact same issue man, so you are willing to cop Rohan's 20-50 or McCarthy's 30-50 for one more week on the field?

I will seriously consider taking the Fasolo one week early if he isn't sub on Friday night.

I'm actually happy with my team, because on paper the players I have picked and structure I have gone with is rock solid, but I just keep copping it every week with premiums putting up spud scores (Hello Zorko and Titch)

At this stage of the season, its all about rookies and cash generation, but I have all the right rookies I feel, just wish there was 1 god damn fwd rookie who was half decent

At what point does your blind confidence in your so called premiums become arrogance and denial?

Say Zorko has 2 more terrible games in the next 3, is this defensible?

In my case, Walters! Do I jump off and admit I have made a mistake or do I stick by my guns and argue that I was right?

My answer is - it depends on what is on offer as a replacement - and at this stage there is nothing up forward that floats my boat.

Another example where I would jump is if I had Leuenberger and my Mummy was calling me. I would change this week.

Actually thinking McDonough could come back in. If unvested I'll run with him.
Ambrose will come in for Rohan if named
Otherwise not willing to waste a trade for the sake of 30odd points for one week.

Don't really see how arrogance and denial are even factors here, and don't quite find the comment justified

Fwd premiums are always a rollercoaster, and sometimes we need to be able to bite the bullet and move them on, because the reality is that guys like Parker, Titch, Zorko etc etc are not proven premiums in the first place, but they are guys we think can be and are taking a chance with

If these sorts of players put in several poor scores in a row I wont hesitate trading them

???

I was under the impression that he wouldn't come back for a while and might play the odd game. All talk just seemed to disappear with him. If he is named I won't make a trade at all. Rohan is just a massive spud so we will see.

Apparently Ambrose is out for a few weeks according to Bomber according to RD :P

Bomber was asked about him in the presser yesterday and he said he "will miss weeks"

Vinny

There you go, thanks for confirmation man.

I'm in the same boat, except with JKH instead of McDonough. Hopefully McCarthy gets back on the field since he's healthy. I can deal with Higgins' scoring 70 each week but can't deal with a 15 from my F6. Luckily I'm more concerned about league than overall and my opponent in league has a shockingly bad team. I think he hit auto-fill team or something, lol.

My question related to Jacobs last year, maybe Walters this year, also if you've got Swan or Cloke this year when do you pull the pin ?

I think it comes down to looking at the player, seeing what their role is and what they are/are not doing this year and then making the cut

The whole "never trade premiums" rule has merit, but you have to be able to make the call and pull the trigger before it's too late

I think the rule applies to proven premiums, guys who have been premiums for years. But for guys like Zorko, Walters, Luey etc etc who have not been proven premiums for years, you gotta be able to cut your losses early on if its not working out, where as guys like Pav and Swan, as frustrating as it is, deserve a bit more time to bounce back
