Yeah I'm happy with that.. Buckley > Crouch and NicNat > Sauce

felsty

Alright so after team selection here is the thinking..

Holding Titch, the only guy I would want to trade him to is Zorko who has a quite high BE anyway, but if rumours of Tom playing with his sore ankle are true it could mean that he will come back better after pushing out some average scores.

Holding NicNat. This will all depend as whether he gets a game with, with Sinclair and Lycett emergencies I don't know if this will happen or not. I did want to trade him to Sauce Jacobs so if he is a late out etc I will make the two trades

The week after will be tough. I sort of wish I grabbed Lloyd this week because of all the good downgrade options.

Impey > Lloyd, Matt Thomas > Gray/Robertson/Cripps

Then

Georgiou > Cutler if he hasn't gone up too much
Ellis > Griffen?

Taylor > Ambrose if he comes back in the future, etc.

Wow, crazy how one round of team changes can throw heaps of spammers in the works.. Thursday night games are a prick too

felsty

So I didnt really have the best week.. wasting a trade on NicNat > Jacobs cut me deep too after talking to a few west coast supporters who didnt like his chances :(

but in the darkness there is light and opportunity

THE PLAN!

Round 6
Tyson > Robertson
Dunstan > Lloyd (via Taylor)
Ellis doesnt get named

Round 7
Ellis > Griffen
Thomas > Swan

Round 8
Non Rd8 downgrade option
Langdon > Hanley when he bottoms out

Going by this I will need to ditch either McDonald or Langdon before the Round 8 bye
If nothing good comes up in defence before Round 7 I will go Langdon to Cutler instead of Griffen and pick him up the week after, although I dont like Cutlers JS with Hanley coming back

Ringo

Why would you do Thomas to Swan in Round 7 when both have the bye the next week why not wait for round 9. Maybe look at downgrading Thomas to Hallahan if named for round 7 allowing an upgrade to Swan in Round 8.

im doing the same trade. only because they are the same Bye week.
you dont lose/gain any weeks but you gain a week of extra points and he'll be cheaper than he will be in rnd 9.

felsty

Fair point Ringo.. Didn't really think of that! I suppose I will assess next week. I can't get Swan this week because I don't think I'll have the funds the week after to get Griffen and I want both. A double downgrade this week gives me the flexibility to allow for this. Although if I pick up swan I need to ditch Langdon before his bye or else I will be playing 17 of my 18

felsty

Hmm with Thomas out now I wouldn't mind holding and waiting for Watson to drop a bit more.
I wonder if I could go Impey > Swan next week or the one after..

Tyson > Robertson, Ellis > Lloyd

Hopefully Dunstan makes close to his BE

felsty

Or I could miss out on Cutler next week..

Dunstan and Tyson > Lloyd and Robertson
Thomas and Ellis > Griffen and Swan
Higgins and Langdon > ORourke/Ambrose and Hanley

Either way a double downgrade this week is on the cards

felsty

Thinking hard about Tyson v Dunstan, even though the next week I'll probably do the double upgrade

Dunstan
+ Wellington should provide his type of match - wet, sloppy, contested on a small ground
+ has a lower BE than Tyson
+ proven 100+ scorer
- has been on a downward trend in need of a rest

Tyson
+ can find better reasoning for his low scores (tagged, getting the vest)
+ seems to be more consistent because of this
+ hasn't made as much money as Dunstan
- faces a tough match against Sydney

What do people think.. I'm half and half but leaning toward keeping Dunstan just because there will be more likely to not lose as much cash, which considering I'm looking at trading them the week after anyway seems to be the most important thing

felsty

Yeah I think keeping Dunstan is the way to go

#41
POST ROUND 6 UPDATE Score: 2057

Pretty disappointing week really, but with some big inclusions this week it should be turned around.

High breakevens on Higgins, McDonald so I think I will trade both of those two to Swan and Hodge respectively
Griffen can wait a week and ill upgrade him from Matt Thomas

B: Mitchell, Simpson, Enright, McDonald, Langdon, Langford (Laidler, Georgiou)
M: Ablett, Pendlebury, Beams, JPK, Polec, Crouch, Robertson (Thomas, Taylor)
R: Sandilands, Jacobs (Derickx, Currie)
F: Dangerfield, Martin, Roughead, Parker, Mitchell, Higgins (Impey, Lloyd)

Once I my trades before the byes start I'll have..

B: Enright, Langdon, Mitchell, Simpson, Hodge, Langford, Laidler, Georgiou
M: Ablett, Pendlebury, Beams, Swan, Crouch, Griffen, Polec, JPK, Robertson
R: Jacobs, Currie, Sandilands, Derickx
F: Dangerfield, Martin, Lloyd, Roughead, Impey, Parker, Mitchell, Taylor

Which will mean a 12-8-9 split but one that works perfectly with getting a starting 18. This side also hasn't used 2 possible trades before round 8 as well, which ill need to use one to get the money to grab griffen..

Premium split is 8-5-4 which isn't the best but it will have to do

In terms of outs for each week ill have:

Round 8 - 3 out in mids, 1 out in fwds = 4 = 18 players playing
Round 9 - 2 out in backs = 2 = 20 players playing
Round 10 - 1 out in fwds = 1 = 21 players playing

Probably not the best split but its alright so long as I have the 18 playing the first week

felsty

One week makes a massive difference..

POST ROUND 7 DISCUSSION

Score: 2465

Went up over 7,000 in the rankings to just outside the top 3,000
Everyone played well above themselves, would have liked more from Watson after bringing him in, and Mitchell getting injured hurt but I really can't complain with anyone

SO, onto the bye rounds

MY TEAM

Mitchell, Hodge, Simpson, Laidler, Langford, Georgiou
JPK, Watson, Polec, Tyson, Robertson, Taylor
Sandilands, Derickx
Roughead, Higgins, Parker, Mitchell, Impey

OUTS

Enright, Langdon, Ablett, Pendlebury, Beams, Crouch, Jacobs, Currie, Martin, Dangerfield, Lloyd

ISSUES

Obvious ones are the two Mitchells, have heard Langford should be right and was just having a rest, Georgiou any chance to miss with concussion?

No real rookies that interest me, however I would love to get McVeigh and Dahlhaus in for the two Mitchells - [http://forum.fanfooty.com.au/index.php?topic=94862.0]check this link[/url] - but if so I need to downgrade

If Ambrose comes in Impey > Ambrose is a no brainer, however I'm also looking at moving on Taylor > Acres, but then I feel as though Acres could be brought in for a mid like Polec next week, so perhaps with Mitchell now out Hallahan could be a good downgrade option

What are peoples opinions on Hallahan, Gardiner, Ambrose? don't think Hartung or Lloyd will keep their spot so don't want to bring them in

Lot of decisions, however my dire needs are the both Mitchells and I have just over $1 million to use on moving them on without the downgrade

remon tea

I've devised a 3 week trade plan and made a couple decisions (not definite):

- Hartung played well against a team that gave up (JS dodgy, scoring potential is ok)
- Ambrose (no guarantee to come back in)
- Lloyd (kicked goals in most of the matches, 3 against Geelong should see him retain a spot)
- Hallahan (good-ish JS, decent scoring potential, likely to stay in with Mitchell out)
- Gardiner (meh, decent JS but horrible scoring)

Just my opinion  :)

felsty

Mm.. I'm starting to think Taylor > Hallahan

Mitchell > McVeigh
Mitchell > Dahlhaus
Taylor > Hallahan
