POST ROUND 1 DISCUSSION

Score - 2269

D: All my premiums were pretty solid which I'm happy with. Rookie picks all went really well too! Not worried at all by McDonald and loved my last minute call in of Laidler! dropped Webster when all the back rookies came up and think it shows in my forward line..

M: Again I was really happy with all my premiums, even JPK. All I needed to see was him getting his hands on the ball and his two shots on goal, albeit points, show me that he is backing himself in front of goal just like his 120+ year. We will wait and see what Lewis Taylor brings next round but I'm happy to hold him if Leppitsch is going to play him a lot. That 6 will only hang around in his scores for the one week of price changes.

R: Really happy again, everyone has Sandi and it may not look like it now but I'm still really happy I went with NicNat. Even though a lot of ruckman overshadowed him I still think he will make a top two ruckman. Saving the trade to get him in was the clincher for me. Rookie rucks were tough but I think I have picked the top two who will get games in the near future!

F: Love this line. I dropped my POD all preseason in Dahlhaus (who went quite well himself) for Roughie after saying I wouldnt touch a key forward this year. Time will tell whether this was a good or bad move. My other four I see as vital midfielders for their respective clubs and I think their scores reflect this. Again, like JPK, I'm not too worried with the two Swan boys scores, think they will bounce back after a disappointing last quarter, last week.

In terms of trades in the near future, I actually think I'm sitting pretty. May look at doing something with Taylor if he is the sub again but I placed him in there over Aish for his flexibility. Also thinking the cash I put out for Rohan might be better utilised in the mids or even backline rookies (KK?) hence me wanting Taylor in there.

Can't wait for tomorrow night!

Looking at Danger into Beams for captains loophole

POST ROUND 2 DISCUSSION

Score - 2140

D: Carnage but so it was for everyone - Enright and Mitchell injured, Simpson poor disposal scored terribly, and the rookies scored like rookies. Fitting that McDonald the burnman from last week pulled through for me!

M: Solid but I'm spewing I didnt jump on Pendlebury. Still can't complain about the score I got though! JPK repaid the faith and in a winning team should score well enough!

R: Awesome.. NICNAT IS BACK!! played 5mins at the start of every quarter in the ruck and then moved forward so to get 108 was huge. It was the 11 possies in the first quarter that split the game open that did it and it's why he will be a top 2 ruck by the end of the year.

F: Roughead justified the non faith I have in key forwards.. thinking of giving him one more week.. would love Zorko in that fwd line....

Ideas?

Mitchell/Enright will have to go to David Swallow, whichever is injured the most
What to do with the other trade?
Rohan > Ambrose? was thinking of saving Rohan for KK if he scores well this week coming but that might be Laidler if he doesn't get another gig

decisions decisions

felsty

alright, so with Enright and Mitchell being named, as well as Laider, I have a full backline to choose from so no issues there.

Michie being named is a blessing in disguise because I wanted to jump on Matt Thomas and now I have reason too.

Rohan has stunk it up, was never a good sc scorer but proven best 22 talent, and only expected to rise $10k if that this week.

If I did move him on it would be to make some coin and Ambrose is the man I'm looking at. Cheap, low BE, He'll fit right in.

ROHAN > AMBROSE
MICHIE > THOMAS

Sound good, yeah?

Ringo

Hey Felsty
Looking at your team there is no real need to trade.  If you do these trades and you intend using the VC Loophole there will be now non playing emergencies to work for you/  Just something to consider I am keeping Michie for another week for that purpose,

I have a concern with Thomas mainly on JS with Jackson back this week and Lids to return next week he may be the one to go. You can wait a week and get Buckley if need be who has greater JS.

Rohan to Ambrose will get cash if that is your aim.

felsty

Think Nathan Gordon is more of a chance tbh. You're right, he is on the precipice of being dropped looking at their side but there isn't a whole lot to come back in. Do you think picking up Jaensch in the backline is a better prospect?

Ringo

Jaensch is interesting but atm he seems to be in front of both Brodie martin and Sam Shaw. Should be secure as long as form is maintained. Know does not mean a lot but he is named on field ahead of Luke Brown as well.

So maybe a sound pick for you.

felsty

Yeah nah I still reckon Thomas has been providing them with a huge difference in their midfield, complementary to the outside work of Deledio, Ellis, Grigg, etc.
He is playing well enough to keep his spot and hopefully will continue to do so

POST ROUND 3 DISCUSSION

Score - 2204

D: not bad but not great, Mitchell dominated and if Blues didn't get smashed I would assume Simpson would have tonned up the way he was going. Enright out hurt. Rookies were solid apart from choosing Langford over Laidler as emergency.

M: Going solid, my POD in JPK is slowly building momentum, I still think he will come good with the numbers he is producing. Ablett as captain was brilliant and my other premos were solid. Had Ellis and Polec on field over Dunstan and won't make that mistake again.

R: Good again, NicNat still building and I'm more than happy to hold onto him, don't know if I will take this underdone option in coming years though.

F: Really impressed, only downside was Titch but I'm not too worried about that. Ambrose being a late out was a kick in the guts, hopefully he comes back in next week!

Don't think I need to do any trades this week, just need some improvement from Titch and Simpson and i'll be happy

B: Mitchell, Simpson, Enright, Langdon, McDonald, Georgiou (Laidler, Langford)
M: Ablett, Pendlebury, Kennedy, Beams, Thomas, Tyson, Polec, Dunstan (Ellis, Taylor)
R: Natanui, Sandilands (Currie, Derickx)
F: Dangerfield, Roughead, Martin, Parker, Mitchell, Higgins (Ambrose, Impey)

28 trades, $63k remaining

Looks good mate

Bomber said Ambrose may miss next, does make sense it is a trip to Perth

felsty

That's alright I can deal with that. Regretting my trades from last week a little.. Swallow and Mumford would have been good!

Can still go Enright > Swallow and NicNat > Mumford..hmmm.. am I crazy to chase points or do they look like the real deal?

remon tea

I would really try to get another premium into that defence in a couple weeks I reckon.

Stacked rookies in the mids is gonna help you heaps.
I missed the Tyson boat, somehow sitting pretty in 173 overall.

Get rid of Ablett and Pendlebury for this week.  ;D ;D ;D
