It's not even that bad. Carlton doesn't have an exceptionally talented list, but it's not as bad as it looks right now and all the doom and gloom is kind of reactionary.

I think part of it is they're poorly coached, Mick is a legend of the game, but right now his game plan looks dated and he clearly isn't connecting with the playing group.

Essendon are a good side as well, will give Freo a run with their outs I think.

Carlton need 2 quality tall KPP's. Then they could stop stuffing around moving Walker, Henderson etc.
They should have the midfield types they need, they just play a lot out of position.
The recruiting hasn't been great. Picked up more mids in Daisy and Cripps.
