Jackson Merrett playing his best game of his career to date. Good return so far from Licka

J Merrett at 200odd K would have been a nice pick, averaging 90 over first two games and will ton up tonight too

In hindsight he would have been a better pick than Higgins or Caddy. Bit late now though.

If he keeps going the way he is now, he would surely still be worth picking up.

I wonder how players feel about playing a game out in this instance

I mean, every Carlton player knows they have no chance of winning - must be so brutal to have to play it out for nothing

Merrett looks the goods - shame it's too late now to get him

I love seeing Carlton get smashed like this. I say that, not because I don't like them as a club, because I actually don't, but the fact that they are rated as a finals contender etc - I love seeing this because they are finally exposed for how shower they are. Such a poor list, but for some reason (mostly the brand that is Carlton) they are so overrated.

I had a good look at him during the week - checked his unsubbed games last year, he was probably averaging 15 possessions. Rd 1 was by far his best game and I thought 13 possessions from last week was probably more his likely average
I guess I was wrong.
