QuoteRICHMOND is unlikely to take action against Dustin Martin after he was caught driving an unregistered vehicle while potentially unlicensed.

The star Tiger star was pulled over by police on Monday in Melbourne's Stonnington area driving the Jeep, which is believed to have come via a private arrangement.

Richmond is working with Martin's management to resolve the matter, although it is understood the 22-year-old will not face further sanction from the club.

It's understood Martin may have been unaware if he had reached his demerit point limit.

Jeep is Richmond's major sponsor.

It came just days after Martin kicked the match-winning goal for Richmond against Carlton on Thursday night at the MCG.

Martin had a turbulent end to last season with the club, having threatened to walk out on the Tigers following drawn-out contract negotiations.

He toured Greater Western Sydney's facilities but returned to Punt Road to sign a two-year deal.

It came after a strong season, which saw him finish second in Richmond's best and fairest. He also polled 16 Brownlow Medal votes.

Apparently Martin's license had already been suspended but he wasn't aware of it.

don't roll your eyes at me! Not my fault the guy's a flog ::)

Angry Dude

Dustin Martin is definitely a flog, just look at his haircut. It's no surprise that he thinks he is above the law after hanging around the scum that he associates with.

Angry Dude

It is a big deal. He has had his license suspended for a reason. He shouldn't be on the road. You'd think it was a big deal if he ran over your kids.

Mailman the 2nd

If you think that's a big deal, then you probably keep your kids locked in your basement

Nige

Not sure if living up to name or...

Angry Dude

My kids got run over by a drunk driver who had his licence suspended.
