Well since barlows injury wasnt an april fools joke after all, what do people think about this trade ? Barlow to nathan jones and then upgrade higgins to dahlhaus who looks to be having a break out year?

Dont like it al all. I would only trade a premo for a premo. Nathan Jones is melbournes best player but wont average the same as a cotchin, Murphy etc. Safer and better bets IMO.

Higgins will continue to make you solid $$ over the next 4 weeks or so, bank his 70-80 points and you will have a handy cash cow to upgrade aroundthe bye weeks

Thanks for the reply, and just to clarify, Jones wouldnt be a permanent replacement. Just a week or 2 until he is at premo price and i can just straight swap him for another player in the same bye structure i.e.  Montagna. And at the same time already have my forwards bulked up with dahlhaus.

yeh, i was just about to reply and say ...

sounds like a perfect YOLO trade to me??

will just depend on your keeper/premo structure but if it is a good balance of points on the field and (potential) money making then go for it ...

yeah exactly, and when you think about it jones has a be of 28 playing gws, youd think he will get 100 considering the way melbourne are playing this year with their possession football. Oh well, its still only tuesday got a few days to think about it

Roos did say that he wants to field a "new team" this week, though. He mentioned the possibility of throwing players into different positions and bringing in some new faces. Who knows what it will mean for Jones.

I reckon jones' position will stay the same as usual, id say he will probably go head to head with either treloar or callan ward throughout the game.

i jumped on both the jones' last week, now im trading clint to templeton and playing ellis or polec, but im going too keep nathan for another week and then him to joey, also traded rohan to dahlaus with 180k left over.

Hahaha! Think we got the same thing in mind mate, thinking ill get jones to joey next week while upgrading to dahlaus this week, and hoping on jones getting atleast 100! Im willing to do a bit of a yolo move in order to make some money and keep my bye structure
