Why no Roughead ...

Trading Roughy out is crazy talk. Surely you all have more pressing rookie issues !! I dont have him but hes a power forward, theres going to be games he doesnt kick 5 and youll have to cop those scores, im definitely using him as an upgrade target but expect him to bounce back well next week, leaving everyone who traded him out feeling stupid.

And anyone talking about trading NRoo in. He's played GWS and Melbourne. Try looking a bit longer term past next round fellas.

This post has made the most sense so far, sideways trading premiums this early is madness when we have the headache of trying to sort out which kids to have in our side.
And yes also agree NRoo has had liitle opposition so far, and don't forget his dicky knee!!  :D

Hi guys.

Yeah did the Roughead > Zorko trade and have no regrets.

Was watching the game tonight and Roughead was playing against a bunch of witches hats plus roamed up the ground more to do the link work due to no McEvoy which he usally does.

I'll back my judgement in with Zorko that he will have a more consistent season than Roughead and wont get the 50-70 scores like Roughead is prone to get.

Sure it was a controversial trade but I thought long and hard about it and went with my instincts.

Plus the trade allows me to bring in Swallow next week so I'm looking at the overall picture.

And yeah I've had a few top 500 finishes so I do know what I'm doing even though I am reknown to having an itchy trigger finger. LOL!

One things for sure I wont go into hiding if I've made a bad trade and will still show my face here and man up.  8)

Freo are a great team but without Fyfe and Barlow in the engine room and no Dawson and Silvagni they looked horribly average tonight, hence the witches hats comment.

I know Hawks have some outs too, just think that Freos hurt them more that's all.

You don't get anywhere in this game playing it safe without taking a couple of risks.

As long as you don't take too many of them I think its fine.

Sometimes you just have to listen to yourself and back yourself.

I will either end up looking like a complete goose for my trade or a genius.

Its the risk I took and I was happy to take a punt in order for me to bring in Swallow next week.

Wish I could do 4 trades this week though so I could have brought him in.  ;D

Fair enough call but the hawks will do what they did to freo against half the teams in the comp. Especially when they get their players back .

Rough will get the best delivery in the comp and is soo versatile that he can generate points in multiple different ways (which vs loves)

Should be a lock top 6 forward.

Swallow comes in next week for me mate.

Traded out Burger > Mummy with my other trade.

Got this uneasy feeling that Burger is going to do a 2012 Jacobs so went with my instincts.

Really hoping Zorko smashes out a 140 + tomorrow though. LOL!

I prefer mid forwards in my forward line instead of KPP's.

If I had of known Zorko was going to be playing pure mid this year I would have picked him from day one.

I only have 2 forward spots left and in all honesty I'd prefer NRoo over Roughead anyday in terms on consistency so he grabs one of my last 2 forward spots with the other one to go to another forward/mid I reckon.
