Agree with Riotchess here 48 or 17 balls should have been defendable by both bowlers and fielders. Why o why did not Starc not try and change to round the wicket to change the hitting angle do not know.  Bailey should have been on to that.  Undid all the good work Dougie did the previous over to blow out the rate required,

Faulkner also bowled a couple of pies to go over the fence in last over as well.

We need to find bowlers who can exploit change of pace, bowl yorkers straight at the death.

Haddins missed catch/stumping of Gayle was the real costly error by Australia's fielding side.

Also our batsmen gave their wickets away too easily with 4 wickets down in the first ten overs.

anyone catch the debacle last night? we gave up 48 runs in 17 balls to lose to the WI...

Bailey's captaining ??? where did it go ???

Mitchell Starc :-X
Don't think you can blame Bailey when Starc was bowling perfect balls to be hit over the fence. Can't set fields for that.
Bailey was all smiles, he could see Starc was struggling and didnt change the field accordingly, he could feel what was happening as well as anyone watching but he chose to ignore it and stick with his game plan rather than adapting on the fly.

Starc ::) god idk where to start, he just capitulated under the pressure i guess, u could see he wasnt confident in his control

Bang on assessment Ringo, why Starc didnt come around the wicket and attempt wider deliveries baffled me, u could see in Sammy's stance he was prepared for full and straight or leg side, dont bowl the ball in his wheel house, would have loved to know what the exact conversation was between Bailey and Starc after he gave up 3 straight boundaries in the 19th over, the field didnt change nor did Starc change his line or length ???

Dismal performance last night against India and back to the drawing board for our t20 side. Being bowled out for 86 chasing a a smallish target of 160 was a disgrace imo.  Too many wickets given away.  The way they are playing our Womens T20 would probably beat them although they were soundly beaten by England last night as well.

I do support Australia but telling it as I see it.

SydneyRox

I cant believe after supposedly getting a rocket from Boof they played that badly vs India

Agree with you Ringo, this whole team needs looking at.

RiOtChEsS

w0w im glad i missed it SMH at this team, form going in was pretty good was it not ???

Capper

Why did we have 3 left arm medium fast bowlers v the Windies?

we need variety, we need spinners

We need Inver to flower off and take Watto with him

Bill Manspeaker

Herath just bowled a double wicket maiden to keep SL in the game.

he's on a hat trick next over aswell

NZ 4-23 chasing 120

Ringo

Suppose we can be thankful that we did not get beaten by minnows like England did down to the The Netherlands but better not speak too soon as we still have Bangladesh to play,

At least the Womens team in the semi final

Nige

If we lose to Bangaladesh...  :-X

Bill Manspeaker

Bangladesh 5-153 after their 20

should be able to chase that down

Nige

Should be a comfortable win.

Ringo

At least we got home here over Bangladesh.
