I love the round one trade talk.. it happens every year but do we ever learn?? ::)

We sit there like rich men feasting on our BIG FAT 30 TRADES.. ;D

What does it matter if I burn one or too.. Look how many I have we say!! :D

Then as the season wears on and the trades dwindle and FINALS approach, we are hit with the Injuries/suspensions/rested players.. AND YOU KNOW THAT WILL HAPPEN!! ???

And then when we need them the most, we sit in front of our screens and cry, " I WANT MY TRADES BACK!! >:("

WHY DID I BURN THOSE EARLY TRADES, WHY!! WHY!!!" :'(

Ramus

Because I exist to trade, trading is fun, trade now worry later, trade, trade, trade!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

quinny88

Have agreed with this every year I have played BUT the highest I have finished is around 1500.
Pretty much all of the highest ranked teams at seasons end are out of trades early because they trade heavily, to get their team complete asap and then sit back and hope. So for me Ill trade as many as it takes to improve my side weather its round 1 or round 20.

Ramus has the jawbone of an ass.

Save your trades.

The jawbone of an ass??!! I thought I could participate freely in this forum without fear of retribution, nice sledging man.

All I hear is SAVE YOUR TRADES...ANYONE WHO TRADES NOW HAS NO IDEA...HOLD YOUR FIRE...KEEP YOUR GUNPOWDER DRY.

Give me a break.

If you butchered a couple of decisions, as I did, feel free to fix your team up, it is a game, it's meant to be fun, and as quinny88 has stated, the winners trade early and trade hard. Go for it I say, every week you hold off is a week lost, you can't get it back.

It's a long season, but 30 trades is plenty.

tor01doc

I agree with some of that Ramus, however my priority is not overall but a sledgefest that doubles as a money league.

Save those trades (but make sure you get to finals too).

Let us know after your trades are gone if you need some more.   ;)

Ramus

OK, can we trade trades for cash? I usually have plenty of coin left but no trades for purchasing.

To be honest, as I said, I love to trade, I find this the most enjoyable aspect of fantasy sports, and I play them all...

I also know there is a time to hold fire, but early on when the petrol tank is full I am gung ho, can't help it! ;D

Do you think a points for trades system, like in Barclays Fantasy EPL would work?

Would placate you trade addicts somewhat.

Ramus

OK doc, what is this points for trade you speak of in EPL Fantasy, I know not of this?

I would be tempted.

Danzac

Throw caution to the wind, use 'em up!

Last year's winner Dimmawitts:

Round 2: 2 trades
Round 3: 2 trades
Round 4: 2 trades

If there is a mistake, fix it

Hey lads, don't give those Herald Sun Supercoach Gurus any Ideas..

Next thing you know they'll be offering TRADES FOR CASH$$

Just one easy payment from your credit card, "Lets say $10 for an Extra trade" or a special offer of 3 for $25..

WOW, They could make a fortune!!!!

Ramus, you would be broke by the end of the season 8)

Marstar

Always follow your gut.

Make the trades you know you absolutely need/want. Last year I went sideways Franklin -> Walker in week 2.  I had absolute faith in the decision but most importantly ... if I did get it wrong I would have felt better than not following my gut and getting it wrong.

I bought Franklin back after the bye .... ooops  :-[

It is built into the game - allowed one free trade per week that if saved means 2 the next week - never more than 2 free trades - and if you use more than your allotted free trades, you pay a pretty hefty price (4 points which I reckon would be worth about 100 in SC) per trade over the free ones.

Makes it tricky to decide whether or not you go for it.
