Having a second look in regards to my trades.

If i make the Langdon to Bartel third trade I will have about 15k to then have to make at least 2 trades to get 18 players for next week.

I will have 20 players this week if I go Polec/Higgins to Pendles/Acres

I'm thinking about keeping Langdon this week (he has more $ to make) and then punting Laidler out for Bartel next week as well as Robbo to Hartung

Should I bring in Bartel this week? or wait a week as it would make round 10 much easier?

Would like to hear anyone's opinion, which I thank for in advance.

Ringo

Like the Plan For third trade this week and you have the opportunity to see if not sub is Impey to Charlie Cameron only makes about 40k but do not think Impey will make any more cash. Obviusly only do this one if trades are not an issue and you need that little bit extra cash.

I would prefer to see how Cameron goes before bringing him in.

If I only make 2 trades this week (Pendles/Acres in for Polec/Higgins) I will have $237,100 for next weeks trades and I also save a trade.

I would go Robertson to Hartung and Laidler to Bartel next week plus an additional downgrade somewhere (Maybe Langford to a defensive rookie)

Would leave me with about $380k after round 10 with 11 trades left to make 4 upgrades- which is somewhat manageable

AaronKirk

With Robbo as a late-inclusion as a sub I have traded him out for Tippett via Swallow DPP.

AaronKirk

Round 9: Scored 2097, moved from 12k to 7886

AaronKirk

Considering the following 2 trades which are locked in.

Laidler to Bartel
Taylor to Cameron

My third trade is the deadweight McCarthy to Travis Cloke

I am taking a massive risk. Now Collingwood's draw coming up is West Coast, St Kilda, Melbourne, Western Bulldogs, a depleted Hawthorn, Carlton, Gold Coast and Essendon. I reckon that the Potato himself will have the softest draw possible to turn around his form, at $367k I reckon he is worth the risk and i'm trading him from McCarthy who won't get any more game time.

This gives me 20 for next week.

Mat0369

From the other thread, I would rather hold Taylor since he has DPP and a low B/E. I would sideways McCarthy and avoid the dead weight that is Cloke.

AaronKirk

My side prior to round 10.

jeesh

I agree with Mat on avoiding Cloke. Buddy is obviously no good this week with the bye but for only 38k more I think you are getting a lot more bang for your buck.

Cloke
Year   Games   Average
2005   15   53.5
2006   15   50.3
2007   22   79.5
2008   21   77.5
2009   19   73.6
2010   20   90.7
2011   22   97.7
2012   22   81.5
2013   21   95.2
2014   8   60.6

Buddy
Year   Games   Average
2005   20   59.4
2006   14   63.0
2007   20   91.4
2008   22   107.0
2009   21   87.9
2010   17   107.5
2011   19   110.8
2012   16   115.5
2013   19   90.4
2014   8   81.1

Who's the last spot being reserved for in the mids? A bit of blue and white would look good amongst that midfield color scheme so I would be more inclined to trade Laidler to Selwood moving Langdon down back. I'd be holding Taylor over his bye with such a low BE of 2 and then trade Impey or McCarthy to Cameron.

Actually what am I talking about? You don't have Zorko so just wait until he bottoms out and grab him next to nothing.

AaronKirk

Thanks Mat and Jeesh for your advice. Option 2 is shown in the image

Option 2 would be to trade 1) Laidler to Selwood via Swallow DPP and 2) McCarthy to Cameron.

This would leave $82k and 11 trades to make 2 defence and 2 forward upgrades.

Should I go with Option One (Laidler/Taylor/McCarthy to Bartel/Cameron/Cloke) or Option Two (Laidler/McCarthy to Selwood/Cameron)?

Option One leaves me with 3 upgrades to compared to 4 with option Two.

All opinions are welcome and am thankful in advance.

Any opinions for a 3rd trade under Option 2 are also well appreciated.

AaronKirk

Scored 1804 in Round 10. Moved from 7,886 to 6,173 in the overall rankings and managed wins in both of my leagues.
Trades were Laidler to Selwood and McCarthy to Cameron.

For Round 11 I will be upgrading Langford to Jaensch. This will leave me with 3 upgrades remaining and $500 in the kitty.
I may make a downgrade but the options IMO are thin this week.

AaronKirk

Here is my side going into Round 11. Any ideas for a downgrade will be appreciated.

Mat0369

Avoiding Cloke looked like a good move  :P

Possible downgrades, I can think of 3 guys off the top of my head

Shenton (FWD/MID), Aylett and Bews if they are named. Not sure if I like any but Shenton looks to go alright.

I agree with Shenton. He would be the one to come into my side. The thing that  have no idea about is who to downgrade?

Not worth it now to trade out Impey or Cameron. Ambrose, if named, has a bit more cash to make. I want to hold Acres for now to see how bad his injury is. Hallahan and Taylor have more cash to make.

Having a second look at my original trade I may trade Langdon instead of Langford to Jaensch.

Langford has GWS this week compared to Langdon who has St Kilda. Langford has a lower BE and more cash to make (for this week anyway).

Langdon has a BE of 74 and there is definitely a correlation between his lower scores and Fasolo playing along side Langdon.

More likely I will trade Langdon to Jaensch. This will give me 10 trades and $106,900 in salary.
