The Lions had the difficult task of facing the reigning premiers in round 1, coming away with a competitive yet still one-sided loss. The Cats, meanwhile, used a dominant 4th quarter to put away an Adelaide team that showed a whole lot of heart but lacked the talent to back it up. The teams were 1-1 against each other last season, both victories coming by less than a goal, but you'd still think it very tough for the Lions to get up this week without Rockliff.

Think this will actually be pretty close. Lions will miss Rocky though

Thanks Huggy was just coming in to set up myself.

For the Lions both Rich and Redden will be playing their 100th game.

Remember last year we beat Brisbane at the Gabba and just went down at Simmonds so I would be taking the 47.5 points on offer. Replacement for Rocky will be either Raines or Nick Robertson. With Leppa want to blood the draftees suspect may be Robertson and he may be given the run with role.

If Raines isn't the replacement, I'd be looking at Selwood to have an absolute blinder! That might end up being the deciding factor on whether I go Selwood or Deledio for AF!

I don't support either team, but flower that ending is amazing

I'm gonna say Cats by 5 goals as they are still one of the better sides in the comp, however I think Brisbane showed good heart last weekend so could well be another close game between the two sides!

Would not complain with another after-the-siren finish though 8)

I remember I was following the scores on my computer and saw it getting close so rushed downstairs and turned on the tv. Such an amazing finish! I went absolutely nuts with excitement.

have watched that quite a few times GL and yes was in the crowd that day as well. One of the best atmospheres I have experienced even better than the West Coast win the previous year,

As I said earlier I expect another close game and with all the rain in Brisbnae atm and predicted to be heavier tomorrow and Friday may be a little damp as well.

Breaks extended for Lions, Cats game

THE AFL's heat policy will be applied for Sunday's match between the Brisbane Lions and Geelong, with the Queensland capital expecting high temperatures.

"BRISBANE ruckman Matthew Leuenberger has thrown a major scare through the Lions camp ahead of tomorrow's clash with Geelong after rolling his ankle at training today.

Lions officials said the ankle would be assessed further but were confident there was no major damage and he remained in the frame to take on the Cats"

Just a preliminary warning that Berger could be a late out.
