To be fair, we're playing Port Melbourne who have been the VFL's best and most consistent team for years.

Not sure if anyone is really doing enough to get a call up for the Giants game tbh. However, I expect Grigg will definitely come in - who replaces Tyrone is a lottery at this stage.

Ha ha Nigey we both want the best for the Tiges but as the commentators said good AFL teams have good VFL teams I would rather lots more young guys running around in VFL next year instead of what I am watching today  :P

Ugh, that was difficult to watch.

Griff had the ball easy, got past his man and could have had a shot. McBean was right in front so he passed it to him but Beanie was too casual, got his kick smothered a few metres out in front and had another two shots off the ground and missed them.  :(

Still, I hope the two of them get called up with Grigg next week.

If we beat the Giants next week, it'll be the first time since 2000 that we've won 5 in a row.

Winning is infectious and would obviously rather watch us win than lose anyday but considering we can't play finals I can't help but feel like these late wins are just going to be a negative on our chances at securing a better draft pick. Would have really liked a top 5 pick but that won't be happening now

glad the players don't have the same attitude  :o

Dimma reckons the recruiters will take the best player available.

I've got faith that we'll pick up a good player regardless of the pick we have.

No doubt, but there's a big difference between pick 5 and pick 10.
Hopefully we can pick up a gem anyway

Dunno about that. The top 10-15 or so picks this year may very well be decided by who has which pick as there's no clear standouts (like Tom Boyd or Lachie Whitfield were as #1).

We'll soon see. We have a good track record in recent times so fingers crossed we make another good pick

I'm hoping we go for a small-ish type, somebody like Jarrod Pickett. He'd just offer something different to what we've gone for recently.

Hardwick was asked about it on Gameday this morning and he didn't give much away but did mention that we will go fr the best talent available like we have in recent years, rather than going for role players.
