If Richmond win every game from here on

:P
Hahahahaha if they come ninth, I'll laugh so hard I'll probably die.

If they come last, I'll laugh so hard I'll probably die. :P

Pretty much if they don't come first, I'll laugh so hard I'll probably die. ???
So basically you're gonna die in September when Round 23 finishes and we're not first.

I'm not coming to your funeral.
Yes  :P

Well that's what the article said. Maybe he got injured in the VFL?

quinny88

Yeah I just heard apparently he injured his hip in the VFL

Highlights from the VFL report on the weekend's clash against the Northern Blues:

Matt Arnot: 29 disposals (16 contested), 9 tackles, 1 goal
Matt continued his good form, he had a quiet first quarter and then really got going in the last three. Whether hes playing forward or through the midfield, he was really on-song when hunting the ball.

Brett OHanlon: 2 goals, 20 disposals
This week it was a pretty consistent four-quarter effort from Brett. He hit the scoreboard late when we really needed, it was really important from the teams point of view. Hes a damaging player and starting to get fitness up, starting to play some good footy and really push for senior selection.

Brad Helbig: 21 disposals (12 contested), 7 clearances, 5 rebound 50s
One of his better games for the year. He was terrific across half-back and through the midfield and again. Good to see him on ball for the first time in a few weeks and its probably something well look at going forward.

Cadeyn Williams: 2 goals, 21 disposals, 5 inside 50s
Played his best game for the year. His first half was quiet but got going in the second, we saw some really pleasing signs from him.

Nathan Gordon: 20 disposals, 12 marks
Played one of his better VFL games. Been down on form but started well with his run and put in a really good four-quarter performance, which is what we expect.

Sam Lloyd: 2 goals, 22 disposals, 6 inside 50s
Probably the best VFL game hes played this year, he helped set up a number of goals and marked well. He was a key player for us during our second half comeback.

Sounds like the taller boys in Griffiths, McBean and Elton all had quiet games so not sure any of them will be in line for a recall, so we'll probably persist with Riewoldt, Edwards and (god help us) Hampson.

Good to hear Arnot, O'Hanlon and Helbig have continued their impressive form, wouldn't mind seeing them get a run in coming weeks, while Sam Lloyd hasn't done his chances of a recall any harm with a good display with a couple of goals.

Sounds like Reece Conca is on track to return from injury this weekend as well

Get Helbig, BOH and Arnot in already!!!
I'm hoping we drop Hammer, hopefully we only brought him in as we didn't want Maric to ruck alone against Sandi. Up against Derickx/Pyke, Maric can hold his own.

Nige

Yeah, very keen for Bikkies, BOH and Biggie to get a run.

Toga

That's what I was thinking, but does it make our forward line too short? Means we'd only have Jack (195) and Az (184) - and whoever would come in for Hampson.. O'Hanlon (189)?

I agree ruck-wise, Maric will be able to hold his own, but just thinking of forward structures.

Another thing: if Arnot comes in, play him as a bloody midfielder and not as a forward!

Nige

Yeah, I'm not sure why we're using Bikkies as a forward. Chuck him in the guts and watch him bowl over midfields. ;D

Hmm yeah you're right. Probably means they keep playing Hampson  :(

Nige

Playing Hampson is as good as tanking tbh.  :P

Wouldn't mind that draft pick back.
