What are you on about?  :o I had a dig at them a year ago when Neeld was coaching them and I told you all he was a useless coach and recruited poorly with top up players to try and save his job which I ended up being right about..

That's still having a dig, no matter when it was. Not saying you don't also praise us at times, but you do take digs. Which is why I assumed it wasn't a joke.

Anyhow just for a laugh  ;) :

Because we already knew Melbourne were shower. Carlton were meant to be good and have just lost to a team that they couldn't lose to. Bravo to Melbourne but a big club like Carlton with high expectations going into the season only to quickly be 0-4 and having just lost to the worst side in the comp will always be a bigger story than Melbourne winning. I'm glad the heats on Carlton. Stops the media sinking the boots in to Richmond for a couple of weeks :P

They are still gonna get flogged most weeks this coming season. You left their best player out of that midfield. Nathan jones

Hate to be a Debbie downer but I think Roos is overrated. I watched him on "on the coach" all season and he repeats the same old boring crap every week (talking up Sydney).
He seems to have this  legacy as though he was a coach for the ages. Leigh Matthews was a coach for the ages. Roos won one premiership that Sydney could have easily not been in if not for some miracle last quarter from Nick Davis.
He has a good winning record but it was all  built on half way ladder finishes and keeping the team topped up with players in fear that if they bottomed out the club could go under (his own admission)
His game plan is based on defensive choking..
If Melbourne play like that, no one will go and watch them. They are lucky to get 20,000 people through the gates as it is. I hope he brings something fresh to the table.

I didn't mean in this thread I just mean in general football discussion I feel as though it's been made out that he was this football mastermind. He was a solid coach but no legend. I'm sure he will go well though. They can't get any worse lol

Yeah but they aren't going to win games.. That's my point. They are going to lose regardless so they may as well do t with a bit of flare.
You only have to cast your mind back to when Lyon arrived at freo and for half of 2011 everyone was calling for his head because they were playing ugly defensive football and not winning that much. No one cares how their team plays when they are winning but when u play ugly and are losing crowds are turned away and Melbourne can't afford that.
Who knows though! Roos isn't stupid, he may bring a whole new game plan to the table. We will soon see

Oh wow... So me stating that Melbourne are a bottom side is having a dig? Captain obvious could have made those calls. I bet I could find as many posts from anyone that has muttered a word about the dees in the past 12 months.

What would you have liked my posts to be? :o "Melbourne are a top 8 side not a bottom side"
They were just obvious statements based on the fact that they had won like 5 games in 2 years...
