Thursday and or Monday games might be needed?

Nah I'd prefer Thursday night footy.

Friday night footy is made for blockbuster games, having two would ruin it IMO.

What about 2 games on Friday night like league do it?

I don't particularly agree with it but it could work instead of Thursday/Monday footy
Because league is shower and one game of Friday night footy is iconic.  8)

yeah 2 games on Friday is not much different to 5 games on Saturday doesn't make it easier to watch the games

the reason why a Thursday or Monday night game is a good idea is to make it easier for people to watch as many games as they want

maybe they could make it a 6:40pm start or 7:10pm even so people get home a little earlier i know there is a issue about people getting there in time after work but it beats getting home late

and the Footy Show can just move to Wednesday nights

Starting the games that early is stupid on a Thursday going by a fantasy football point of view it will severely disadvantage people in Perth and Adelaide as many will still be at work or getting home from work/school.
I had enough trouble this week and it will be the same next week as well due to the Thursday night game.

Also means people in those states will struggle to be able to watch the games

Whenever Carlton play on Mondays (saints] they get great crowds. Carlton v Richmond on a Thursday night always gets 80k too.

Thursday Night games would get amazing ratings. Nothing else is on. I'm all for it.

Isn't that generally only ever like opening game of season (big crowds cause first game of footy for ages)

Or only ever Thursday footy the day before a public holiday. Therefore it's really just like a Friday night game in that sense.

Regular Thursdays would likely see poor attendance.

Idk whether there's a public holiday in Melbourne tonight, but the crowd seemed alright at the MCG? I don't know the actual number though.

Later this year, Adelaide play Collingwood at Adelaide Oval on a regular Thursday night, we'll see what crowd is pulled there, I can see it being pretty poor tbh.

5 Saturday games can work, if the starting times are all staggered. E.g. 1:10pm, 3:10pm, 4:40pm then the two night games starting at 7:40pm.

it doesn't matter as long as they show the better match, instead of two bad teams playing like st. Kilda & Melbourne on a satday night

don't think supporters of both teams would be happy with that. can't always just be the same teams playing Friday and Saturday nights

also on the topic, Thursday games have really grown on me. not a huge fan of Monday games (and we get one every year vs Carlton) but I guess one a year is alright
