If KK gets names named next week and McDonald doesnt improve may be forced tp pull the trigger after 1 price rise at rnd 4. Only corrective type trade im looking at.

And maybe get rid of Cloke, but never expected him to kill it first two weeks vs Freo and Sydney.. still 35!  :o.. Pair of 80s to start wouldve been fine but a bit worried!

Lads just remember it's only round 1. Back your judgement and reasons for picking premos and midpricers. Use 1 or 2 correctional trades for rookies only.

My thinking at the moment is if laidler scores 80+ next week then that forces me to pick him which means I will trade suckling to him

I will allow Rohan one more chance and if he sucks I will use the cash to upgrade him

Ideally I am hoping Rohan can wack out a solid 80 next week and at least enjoy some price rise with him
Suckling to laidler is a temptation

Torpedo10

No one should be worried about Suckling. He will get to 500k unlike some other rookies who are less likely to do so and then you can choose what you want to do with him. Perfect mid pricer unless something drastic happens.

only a temptation if he hits and 80 ... and if he does then be bloody mad not to make that trade

I will make the call early but no way Suckling hits 500k, he's coming back from a knee reco and he's never averaged more than 90 over his whole career. If you want to downgrade then he's your man, Hurn will be a keeper at D5 or D6, save trades and look at bringing more keepers into your side.

I'm a bit gutted with my start but am going to wait until R2 is over before I make my first trades (unless Webster's injury becomes a major).
Pavlich, Buddy, Rockliff, Suckling and Webster are picks I have confidence in. It's depressing to think I'll be 200+ pts behind many teams but that could change significantly after one more week. Telling myself not to get depressed about it and hold tight. Think I've got the right rookies based on Round 1 but depending on R2 performances of Webster(56) and Suckling(72) I could grab Georgiou(64) and Laidler(95) as well and pocket $289k to spend on upgrades. Right now that looks appealing but as I say doing nothing until after R2...a week can change everything.

frenzy

premos let me down, the likes of mitchell mcveigh waliker.... YUK. Laidler top scored in defence with 95

danger mouse almost shot me, thank god he got scaled up from miserly 61 odd DT

rookies performed well enough..happy with their output.

god damn premos are on notice for rage trading.

not a good feeling, being near on out of the competition round 1

I missed the Laidler game.

His 16 disposals, 2 marks and 3 tackles gave him a pretty unrealistic team topping 95 in SC but a more representative 55 or so in DT.

This ratio of SC:DT points of 1.72 is not typical of his past fantasy scoring.

Can't possibly burn a trade based on this single sample sized anomaly.

But if he backs it up then he's worth considering. i wouldn't expect 95 every week but a solid 70-75. Job security is paramount and he he has plenty. Then there's the byes, for most he's a perfect round 10 upgrade.

With all these rookie mids doing so well, I'm considering jumping off Daisy this week to allow me to field as many as I can.

Trading Thomas to Josh Caddy, then switching Caddy into the forward line for Lewis Taylor, allows me to field my 4 premiums plus Tyson, Polec, Dunstan and Ellis (with Taylor and Langdon on the bench for some awesome DPP action).

Caddy in the forward line means Gary Rohan then goes to the bench and Higgins becomes my last forward.

Daisy might still go on to make some good cash, but with the mid rookies killing it I'd love to take advantage. Plus I can see him and Caddy making around the same amount of cash.

That is a good way to use your corrective trade Mr j50.

I thought L.McDonald was really terrible, looked lost and gun shy.
He'll be becoming Kolo if he doesn't improve round 2

Really hope KK gets the nod this week, I have reserved enough cash just in case.

Not sure if he will with Bennell and Tape to come back into a winning side
