I wasn't expecting a good average but at 312k with past scoring and JS, here was a must in the backs.

But yeah I'll watch closely for two weeks. Two guys I wouldn't mind having his place.
suckling was never a MUST!. Yes he has good job security and has scored well in the past but NEVER to a premium level. With many rookie backs a chance then you were better off saving nearly 200k and besides it all comes down to your overall structure.

rohan gets one more chance in my team .. otherwise will be looking what i can possibly do with him

agreed at this stage not worth the extra cash.  has to show something next week

I'm not even giving him one more week. I was dubious about putting him in my team anyway let alone leaving him on field >:(
Common sense may prevail before the rage trade but i could possibly go to caddy with some effort.

Ramus

I decided to drop him for Langford at the last minute, hoping this works long term with his JS. :-\

My thinking at the moment is if laidler scores 80+ next week then that forces me to pick him which means I will trade suckling to him

I will allow Rohan one more chance and if he sucks I will use the cash to upgrade him

Ideally I am hoping Rohan can wack out a solid 80 next week and at least enjoy some price rise with him

Bully

I allow myself two correctional trades every year, this year it will be Cutler to KK, Laidler, Georgoiu or McDonald (depending on who performs next week. Then it will be either Michie to Aish, Rohan to Merrett or Taylor to Merrett (depending on Merrets job security). I may even bring in Fasolo if he gets a game.

agreed Bully - actually I allow 3 - one for each line (excl rucks) - if I get away with one or two then its a bonus.

My concern is McDonough - looked lost during the game and I'm not sure he gets named next week. If he is dropped I will make 1 trade this week allowing for 2 trades after rd 2

just hoping NN doesn't get the green vest or I will need to dip into my war chest

You really thinking Merrett? I have looked at him also but not convinced ... What did u like about his game (I know his 100 looks good haha)

very clean disposal, he will run at a very high efficiency most weeks, He's outside but for a forward I think he's the best alternative. Much will depend on his JS, if he gets a full game next week then he's worth monitoring. The other guy is Fasolo, did well on the weekend so will be pushing for a spot, if I pick Georgiou then I can upgrade one of my forwards.

yes considering J Merrett - 16 kicks, 8 Hb, 9 marks, 5 tackles - not too shabby - i'm not expecting a ton every week but his JS should be good and if he can avg 80 it will fix a big hole in my forwards

not pulling the trigger yet and have several days to sleep on it.

JS is the worry for me will be fighting for a spot with Kommer, Winderlich

fasolo will never ever get a gig in a supercoach side of mine haha ... really dont think merret is an option either to be honest ... definitely wont be pulling the trigger on him this week that is for sure

I will only pull the trigger if he gets a full game but i liked what I saw, seems to fit the Bombers game plan to a tee.

Agreed, never wanted Suckling, wasnt manyboptions at his price but still left him out. Has scored well but never been a keeper, and suspected he would start slow, as most guys do after 12 months so didnt expect a quick price, could still prove me wrong and bring up 3 consecutive tons, but have picked for a 75ish average for the first few games.

if you have him tho id stay on him, should still gradually improve. Only reason id trade him is if you jissed out on Langdon.

not in any panic with suckling yet ... but i think there are others around him or rookies that could be brought in that will score similar ...
