I have done exactly the same thing, but it's doing my head if I should change it back or not. The money I made, I have spent in upgrading my previous f3 in Gunston to Petrie (I know I keep changing this) and now I don't have enough cash to get McDonald back into my team.
So I'm weighing up McDonald and Gunston V Langford and Petrie.
Too much pressure.

I am running without it. I am also running without suckling. I saw better value in my backline and that has worked out well, with kade simpson and david swallow. I think mcdonald is just a little bit overhyped in terms of sc, not in terms of real life. He is a gun in real life but sometimes that does not translate to high sc scores. I noticed a trend where he gets around 20 disposals, but only score 60-70. hopefully he can prove me wrong, but i will stay clear because of the plethora of rookies in the backline that have come up, it does not neccessarily make him necessary.

just other cheaper options around like langford and georgio this week who are older and more likely to handle the tough stuff better

Yep, will switch Martin to McDonald after round 2 if things don't work out with Brodie.

I just cannot justify spending that money on a rookie that is probably not going to be a top 3 rookie, there are other options that will score probably just as well, and you can save $70K. Same with Tyson.

Anyone that went without him seems to have made the right choice as he is only on 16 at Half time.That score dosen't justify the price that was put on him it looks like he is overrated.

16 at half time sucks, but it happens. I have Langford on field anyway, I guess it just sucks that I will get LMacs crummy score while Langdons 111 sits on bench >:(

Why couldn't he just be made the sub then we all could have avoided this lol

Hes on my mid bench for swing with langdon. Now thinking of keeping him on the pine then after round 2 trading to Michie.
