Should i go with Goldy as my R1 and keep playing rohan as my F6 or do i downgrade Goldy to Hickey and upgrade Rohan/McDonaguh next week to parker/titch??

Cheers in advance.

TheViper

Cheers mate, that was what i was thinking. Sometimes i just need someone to clarify my choice.

eaglesman

trying to get goldy in as we speak ... have another premo already though

TheViper

With currie now not playing, he is tantalising. I reckon at best currie will 6-8 games, usually when they go up against teams wiith two strong rucks, like west coast or essendon when belly comes back.

eaglesman

i dont see currie playing 3 unless goldy gets injured ... goldy can do it all

Goldy 110+ Rohan 55 =165
Parker 95+ hickey 85= 180
My two cents. Goldy is a great pick. Just think ur second option is worth quite a few more points.

I'll second that, I'm already regretting my Rohan selection. It will be a mad scramble to plug F6 now, I'm praying to the heavens that Lewis Taylor doesn't become a permanent vest-man, he's my only hope to stay in the game.

TheViper

Thanks for your reply, making me think over it again. I just dont like the feeling of playing two mid priced rucks, a bit too risky for me. And i have a small feeling if hickey spuds up in one game, then longer comes in right away.

TheViper

I think we are all underestimating rohan a little bit here. The conditions were horrible for a forward in general and made life very difficult. I reckon on a normal day he could get 65-70ish.

I'm trying to plug up F6 as well, that's why i'm thinking of bringing in parker to fix that gap. BenKen been sub didn't help and try to thing about too much and fudged everything up.

Goldy will most likely be a top 2 ruck though, whereas Parker may not even be a top 10 forward. Also not sure if Hickey will average above 80 tbh, glad to see him prove me wrong though.

TheViper

Yeh Goldy top 2 ruck for sure imo. Yeh thats the problem with picking parker, i feel he can become top 10 forward, but dont know if he has reached that level yet.....
Yeh i can and can't see Hickey averaging 80, but that's the risk i take if want to go that way. Just that F6 problem is flowering me up big time.

Totally agree. Less risk picking a rookie at F6 than picking a mid-pricer at R1.

Don't give up on Rohan on one performance. If he can average 60-70 IMO he has done his job.

TheViper

Alot of people are judging players off one game and that can't be done. With rohan and even with Buddy, people are already planning their trades for next week, which is understandable, but patience is sometimes required in this game. When i look at rohan's pre season stats, he also had one pre season game where he scored similar to his round game, but his other two games were around the 70 mark. I expect him to throw the odd spud score here and then, but let's just hope it is not all the time.
