With all the talk about how Franklin isn't really fitting in up in Sydney and his sub par performance on the weekend what will he have to do in round two to stay on your side if you have him? I know the whole thing about not trading premiums but I think this is an exception. Thoughts?

I don't think he is a good pick this year. Only one game but I've seen enough. He always misses multiple games through injury/suspension as well. My advice is that if he stinks it up again next week then trade him out without hesitation.

So glad I don't have him.

cortez

Yea I'm thinking the same, don't normally do it but like I said he is an exception this time.

Sydney played terribly so that didnt help. Also it belted down with rain the whole game. Pretty tough day for a key forward.

Ill give him a few weeks but I wont be scared to trade a premium if I have to. I refused to trade Zorko last year because of my premium rule and it hurt me all year.

i dont think this is an exception. it was naturally (or at least probably) going to take some time for him to settle into a new team and to adjust to the game stlye etc. surely you considered that pre r1 and thought him worth it anyway?

I didn't choose him myself i just think the culture of the swans
is exactly the opposite of how buddy rolls,he is a selfish player
whom pretty much does his own thing. Not saying it wont work
i just think its going to take time

Also note that Swans players aren't known for their consistent scoring week in week out and are the lowest averaging team in DT scoring. So if you choose a Swans player in your team and he doesn't perform one week and you whinge about it in a thread, don't expect any sympathy from myself or other Swans fans. We have carried the burden of selecting our favourite Swans players for years only to watch them kick our fantasy teams in the nuts.
This is what happens when you select Swans players

Willing to give Buddy another week.

A combination of the Swans getting beaten (no Sydney player cracked a ton), terrible conditions and the first game in a new team means I'm willing to wait on him.

For what it's worth, last year he scored a 60 in round 1, then went on to ton up 3 times in a row... But we won't talk about what happened after that.

Ricochet

Lads it was pissing down with rain. He'll be fine

buddy is on my radar....
in 2015!!

Free Kick

Buddy definitely could produce some big scores..
BUT, not frequently enough for me to pick him..

All appears not well in the Swans Camp.. Player unrest with Big Buds contract.. Hannaberry smashing Buds car.. Bud collapsing at his home.. Buyer beware!!

MLS

I'll hold for now. It's always a roller-coaster with Buddy.

Priced at 90 with a massive ceiling the upside is there.

shaker

Have not got him but think you would have to give him at least one more week or until he looks like doing $$$

Mr.Craig

If you had concerns prior to the season starting then you shouldn't have picked him. If you thought about those concerns and decided the upside outweighed the negatives then it would be ridiculous to change your mind based on a single performance.

Spot on. Either you back him so you puicked him or you don't so you didn't. Cold feet after one game is silly.
