I love that slight tightening in my guts when my finger is poised over the cannot reverse trade button.
Doc took me a while to work out as well but as there are unlimited trades in Round 1 you can basically trade players in and out so long as they have not played effectively meaning you do not need reversal for Round 1 but it comes into play for round 2.

Thinking of upgrading to one of Aish or Sheed. Who would be the better target?

Sheed will be an absolute gun IMO but his JS would be shaky. Aish, if fit, should play every game for Brisbane therefore I'd go with Aish.

Yeah absolutely Aish - Sheed is a prime vest target right now

Ringo

Spot on with Aish but bear in mind that if Beams comes back strongly (and the guy deserves a break) may force Aish back to possible vest roles. But in saying that Aish has a round 10 bye so would be ideal trade then for you and his price imo if he maintains form should be $400/450k

Toying with the idea of bringing McDonald to the mids but don't like the job security of Langford or Georgiou. Any idea of how far away Colin Garland is? I'm assuming he will replace Georgiou immediately which is putting me off.

If not Garland, Clisby and Strauss could get a call up too. The only way Georgiou stays in is if his killing it

I just get an uneasy feeling about the defensive rookies, Garland is one of Melbourne's better players and is listed as 2-3 weeks. Georgiou may not even see a price rise which would be checkmate for even a sideways trade (presuming one doesn't have cash in the kitty).

Langford has competition from half a dozen players over the next 4 weeks. Again, a sideways trade could be hugely problematic.

With all this uncertainty, I'm inclined to sit on Crouch for 2 weeks and hope he gets named. If he doesn't, I can still use the loophole and trade to Cunningham on the bubble.

One things for certain, I'll be using my 2 corrective trades this year. The split round can really screw with one's planning.

Lewis taylor will play

Wow, didn't see that coming. Let me just say that Taylor was one of my absolute favourites from last year's draft, he's a ball magnet with a little bit of x-factor. Get on I say.

I doubt that considering hes only just come back from injury, and if he did play would almost certainly get the vest (and would be prime candidate for the next few weeks)

He's played in some intra-club matches so it wouldn't surprise me. He's also a gun, Brissie were very lucky to get him so late and I have a feeling he'll be a fan favourite. As for the vest, it's a tricky one but one can hide him on the bench in the interim. DPP gold as far as I'm concerned.

thats a lot of young talent for the lions, if Aish, Taylor and Robertson play? Surely they are looking a job sharing?

Word is that one of Robertson or Taylor will play, the only problem now is that we won't know until Saturday.

i think with Matty Crouch not being named and Crows having quite a few still to come back in, its very risky keeping him. I think he may not play till 2nd half of the season
