Rockliff set for new three-year deal

VICE-CAPTAIN Tom Rockliff has shown his faith in the Brisbane Lions' on-field future, agreeing to extend his stay at the club to the end of 2017.

Rockliff was set to come out of contract at the end of this season, but AFL.com.au understands the star midfielder has agreed to terms for another three seasons on a lucrative salary.

Securing Rockliff, 24, caps a good week for the Lions, with the club having already re-signed midfielder Jack Redden and forward Josh Green to the end of 2016.

The new agreement will see Rockliff, 24, remain at the Lions until at least the end of the 2017 season.

Great to see this good news for the club after our dramas on and off the field.
