SO had him penciled in for a couple of weeks. Then I saw his stats last year. He can barely average more than 12-13 possies a game.

I'm thinking of upggrading to Hurn. Any reason to not do so ?

Main reason for Webster's average was 4 games with the green vest and 1 game with the red vest. He is not in my side but would be a decent option for D5. If you can afford to bring in Hurn I would do so if it does not compromise your structure.

I have him at D6. Happy with my def! :)

have him at D6 because he is not to much more expensive than some of the rooks available and he uses the ball very well. if he gets good time on the field i can see him scoring 70+

That's my team. Downgrading HMAC to rookie(it is a risk I know but one I am thinking of taking) and upgrading Webseter to Hurn.

Is there any other changes that you think might set me up for the season?

Ok just played around with this as per my above team.

Changed Webster > B.Martin (gets enough of the ball for a defender and nicely priced).

HMAC >Currie

Higgins >Gunston (each year he has improved and this could be his year to stake a claim as a premium)

honestly, i think your ruck line is way too thin. crows fans may have a different opinion, but i think martin isnt  best 22 so make sure he gets named. gunston over higgins is good for security, but if missy is fit and can play until the byes he will score as much and likely more than gunston

I don't agree that your rucks are too thin nor that Missy will outscore Gunstan.

Grab Currie if named and get rid of HMac.

Gives you more money for elsewhere.

However both of you have differing opinions which is making me scratch my head even more.

The HMAC > currie trade will happen but missy > gunston is what I am a little unsure of.

Webster seems to have better JS but is priced at $60k higher... that said, everything about McDonald tells me his ceiling is much higher and I have a feeling that they'd both average the same...

I'd go Webster purely because LMac will probably cop vests. With North playing friday night we will no who the subs are before game (and before the Saints game) so you'll have an hour there to decide. If LMac is sub definitely grab Webster, if not then its a bit of a harder decision.

Backline is far too weak. HMac to Currie, Webster to Hurn.
