Currently have :-
M Crouch,   D Tyson,   X Ellis,   L Dunstan,   And V Michie in the midfield but have to omit one of them.
Who would you recommend me dropping and if you have a specific reason what is it ??  Working on the principal
that all will be selected on the field and $ is not a factor as I'm already sitting on $339,500. Help seriously needed
here guys and gals, thanks, cheers and the very best of luck. Unfortunately have 5 players I'd love to keep for 4 positions and will disregard the bye factor as I have it covered on the other lines. Cheers.   ;)

Crouch would be my pick, simply because he has a round 8 bye. I think you will need all rookies playing in round 8, particularly if you have Ablett, Beams & Pendles.

safest thing is to play whoever is not the sub as the games come along

thanks all, I almost have it down to Dunstan and Crouch but change my mind almost twice a minute. I think that all of them will be in their sides opening 22 which makes it even more bloody difficult. I'm stuffed totally on this one    :-\

Bully

If it's down to Dunstan & Crouch then I believe Crouch must go. Byes aside, he's probably more susceptible to vests given his tank needs some work and he has a host of others all vying for his spot when the squad's at full strength. Dunstan has little competition at the moment, St Kilda have a bare bones midfield and he's clearly a required player.

Also don't forget round 10 bye players will be very handy, it basically gives you an additional 2 weeks to upgrade to a premo.

Thanks Bully, this is probably the only time this SC season that I have been totally stuffed on making a decision. So what I am toying with doing now is to Ditch Crouch and Michie and bring in Dunstan and Liam Shiels and still hold $180,800. Mids would then be:-
Ablett,   Cotchin,  P P Kennedy,   D Beams,   L Shiels,   D Tyson,   J Polec,   X Ellis,   L Dunstan,   and H Cunningham. Any thoughts guys and gals please  ??      ;)

Bully

Shiels vs Michie is negligble, so I would pick the cheapest player (Michie of course). If you have the spare dosh, why not just get another premo in you mids?

Every year I have played SC Bully there has been one player at least  that I have chosen then gone off and not been
able to get before he has completely creamed me. So this year I'm prepared for it or the early bolter that no-one saw coming. Rather than two trading to get them in I can just go bang. Cheers mate and I will give the Shiels / Michie  point plenty of thought.     ;)

Agree with everything Bully said. Dunstan easily over Crouch

I would go Dunstan over Crouch for the same reasons. Have you thought of Macrae instead of Shiels in case Shiels goes back to his run with role. This is what i cant decide. Shiels should be good as long as Langford stays in the side i think. :-\

RaisyDaisy

I like the Shiels pick - he averaged 90odd a few seasons back and I am hearing strong messages that Langford is a lock to keep his spot as long as he performs, and if he is the team I reckon Shiels could explode. Hawks mid field is slowly aging and his in his prime

I'd take the gamble on Shiels

auscoyote

Thanks RD that's the way i was leaning too. Pick him in my draft team for those reasons but there is a lot more riding on SC  ;D

Just for say curiosities sake, how about Brad Hill  ?  Showed heaps last season and should have built his stamina up which was really his only weakness. Be very interesting seeing how the Hawks pick their team. Cheers all.    ;)

brad hill is very interesting suggestion ... one day i think he will be very viable pick ... not discounting him this year ... but i do not mind the sheils pick at all

Bully

Hill has improved every year which is a positive sign but I think his ceiling is 95, and that would be generous. Outside players are rarely SC friendly, they may look fantastic on the football field but they don't generate the points required.

As for Shiels, I think he will struggle to return to a 90 average but at least he's cheap. You certainly won't lose money.
