both these players under test ( avail to play)

what do we know about their injuries

Selwood's injury is his bye.

frogjumper

Selwood is likely to play, but as he has played no preseason matches it is difficult to predict how he will go.

Griffin is unlikely to play.

Selwood will play. Providing no hiccups over the next 2 days.

HotTiges

Won't be picking Sel to after bye.worried about his interrupted NAB cup so he might start off a little slowly

GCSkiwi

Depends on the team set up you have, I have 3 round 8 bye mids in GAJ, Pendles and Beams, so Jelwood would ruin me. But if you have forgone one of the three then bye is not a reason to avoid Jelwood. I would still avoid until he has more match time under his belt, if both were named I would pick Griff.

HotTiges

Unlikely I'll pick Griff.limited pre season not a good sign especially at his price.

Joel will be ready to go on Thursday.  I have a feeling that Griffen won't play on Sunday though- if his back wasn't 100% they wouldn't fly him to Perth to play.

NEW Western Bulldogs captain Ryan Griffen remains in doubt for the Round 1 clash with West Coast on Sunday afternoon.

Griffen is managing back tightness and could only walk laps while his teammates trained on Tuesday morning.

On the positive side, club captain Joel Selwood has recovered from his hamstring twinge and is a certain starter after training strongly on Tuesday morning.

"He's flying around out there," Bartel said. "He's nice and grumpy out on the training track, as you want your captain, but he's going really well. He's fully fit."

Just what I'd expect a team mate to say.. Don't have him now but will be a Lock at the Pointy end of the season 8)
