Will he be back for round 2? was thinking of selecting him to take langdons 111 + get a high scoring defender.

I totally understand playing a non-playing rookie to get Langdon's score, but Hibberd not so much... If he was in your original plans then go for it, but paying 500k for a 111 is different to getting a 111 from a rookie priced player. Someone at Hibberd's price should net you close to 100 anyway. The point of taking Langdon's score is to get an extra 60 points from a back ROOKIE that may only score a 50 instead, so take that 400k from starting Hibberd and use it elsewhere!

Hibberds a good player and I want him in my team by seasons end.

I wouldn't go picking him for this week though as the hammy injury still worries me and there's every chance that he could aggravate it again.

More of an upgrade target for mine once he's played a few games and there's signs of no hammy issues.  8)

I think that's why people are considering it. A lot of people wanted him before his hammy, so if he's out round 1 but basically 100% to return round 2, then you get the premium score and don't have to waste a trade to bring Hibberd in early on. Like you said though, if you didn't originally want Hibberd then it is a waste.

Have had Hibberd since day dot, took him out for a few days after the hammy, but since it was said his likely for rd1 brought him straight back in. I like my defenders to be consistent, hence the Mitchell, Hibberd, Simpson, Enright line up

If he misses rd1, I get Langdons score, but I reckon Hib will play
