Haven't seen this guys name mentioned at all around here.

He seems to be a real smokie and gone under everyones radar.

Seems to be playing on a wing and got alot of the ball in Freos win over Collingwood.

If Sutcliffe backs up his 91 sc with another good game/sc score will anyone be tempted to get him in?

Is around the $250,000 mark.

Ibbotson seems to be forever injured. When is he going to be back?

I can't see Sylvia taking Sutcliffes spot either as Sylvias a spud!

Don't forget that Sutcliffe played in Freo's finals series so he is rated by Lyon.

i'm just saying what Freo supporters have told me they said he has not cemented his spot yet will be in and out

Exactly right Sylvia has gone from Melbourne culture to Freo he is learning how to play there game style which might take him a while , Ross Lyon won't except anything less

Sylvia is one of the laziest players going around and thinks that talent alone will get him over the line.

He's never going to be a star due to this so that's why I think he's a spud for.

At Melbourne he underachieved, I don't think Melbourne were crying when he packed his bags and left to be honest.

Can't seeing him changing his stripes anytime soon.

Wouldn't touch him. but his PS form and Rd1 form has been very good - only gets dropped if he plays bad, I reckon his form is what keeps him in, not making way for a returning player

Never said that.

There are good honest players, your foot soldiers, etc but Sylvia isn't even any of those IMO.

Just goes missing too much and doesn't put in enough effort and doesn't do the 1%'s often enough.

I'd rather have a guy that has minimum talent but gives it his all and does the 1%'s than a half ar5ed footballer like Sylvia who only puts in when he feels like it.

For all the talent Sylvia supposedly possess he doesn't do nowhere near enough based on the potential he has. FACT!

Sylvia hasn't lived up to his potential, he could have been an absolute star but is just a so so plodder.

Sylvia's not a spud but he most certainly is a flog. Most of us didn't mind to see the back of him. The draft pick that we got in return landed us Bernie Vince so we won out there.

Now on to the OP. Sutcliffe is a great player but is still very young and on the fringe. He may see some time in the 2nds this year and may be a vest candidate too. A bit too risky for mine.

Well I guess in pure terms of football ability he isn't a spud cause he can play when he feels like it but it isn't often enough.

So based on that and all the other things I've said about Sylvia I still rate him overall as a spud!

I wonder how many people will be tempted to trade Sutcliffe in if he has another good game though? :P
