Not that anyone should have him in their team in AF, but here's something from the AFL Season Information & Off Season News Facebook page:

Unfortunate news for young Gold Coast Suns wingman Jack Martin with scans revealing that he has considerable damage to his shoulder and will miss an extensive amount of time of the season.

R.Griffen

Doc Larkins said that yesterday on gameday it's not looking good for Martin but he has come into contention for being picked after the bye weeks imo

Unlucky for the young fella. Was it too early for him to be given a run in the seniors considering his stature?

Was thinking the same. It probably was a bit early for him, he certainly wasn't the physical specimen that O'Meara was/is. The first time I saw Martin during the pre-season, I thought he didn't have enough muscle and size.

Bad news for Jack but, still hoping many had him in there teams! Won't affect the Suns at all anytime soon

Possibly but the injury didn't occur from a hit from an opponent or a strong tackle, he simply landed awkwardly on it
