59 points on his Carlton debut....don't know what to make out of it but watched him closely and was non existent in the second half, does he have a reacurense of his ankle injury? Give him another week then trade if he pulls another 60-65?

SydneyRox

at least another week.... will try to watch the game to get a proper guage

I don't have him but if you picked him you need to give him another game or two to see if his kicking will improve. He did shank a few tonight.

Sabretooth Tigers

 :)
I swapped him for Liam Shiels. But I don't think Daisy will cost you any money and IMO he will come good, just didn't fit in to my team frame.    :)

Bully

He looks very rusty, usually his kicking is spot on but tonight was horrible. The ankle perhaps? This is the risk we take with injured players, I'm just glad I ditched him at the last minute.

If he doesn't score 80-plus next game he's gone.

It's his first game in quite awhile so I'll give him another 3-4 weeks at least.

Richmond, Essendon, Melbourne, WB in his next four. Could up his average, especially with Melbourne in there.

Speculator

I watched the game and it looks like a bad selection. He looked short of a gallop and seemed to be off the ground for long periods (although its hard to tell on tv). If I had him I'd definitely be trading him.

He's always been a pretty good scorer, not elite but solid, thats not going to just change overnight!
Give him a few weeks to find his place in a new team, remember what you paid for him, he's still well under priced.
Above all else CHILLLLLLLLL! its only round 1!

I am of a similar mindset - but a lot will depend on who I might down grade him to? if no mid rookie i dont have doesnt step up might hang onto him.
By the byes with a few games under his belt he will have increased in value, which was the plan all along

If Ellard has another good game and manages to avoid the vest, he is the one I would be looking at

He hasn't played since Round 7 last year after only playing for 5 games and the score will not lose any money. We really need to give him a chance with the time out and playing for a new team.  I'm a bit gutted as I put him back in 5 mins before the game after taking him out a week earlier. Just got a bit excited about to watch the blues. Now have to make it a positive.

frogjumper

Love the panic after 1 game.

shaker

Obvious that he is not match fit will stick with him for now and see how the other mid pricers go in the first 2 rounds

RaisyDaisy

Anyone who picked him is only kidding themselves if they seriously thought he would come out and start smashing tons from the get go
