I know everyone is going to be like OMG its just one game but he has been very impressive and surprisingly is cheaper than J.Martin... :o Was just wanting to spark some discussion on this bloke. If he has another good game next week he could start making some serious coin!

At 220k, would anyone consider if he has two good games...?

HotTiges

He's always had some good sc scores but seems to get injured or dropped.. See what happens after rd2 but a genuine option I think

LOL I knew someone would start a thread about him  ;)

Lets see how next week goes, but I highly doubt I would get him even if he did score well again next week

I started it because i was shocked at how little he would set you back! Doubt i'd touch him though.

Wait for the 90 next week and people jump on him only for him to then spud it up.

The only thing that hurts Ellard is he is sub potential. He could easily net you a bit of cash and score over 70 the next 5 rounds if he avoids the vest. He is a pretty decent mid and can hit the scoreboard. He improved dramatically a couple of seasons back but has been hampered by injuries.

I agree. Ellard looks good. Only bright spot tonight.
Goes hard at it, has pace and scores goals. Definitely on my watchlist for that price.

I don't see how people can bring in mid price players after their R1 game?? u either got it right by starting a risky player or you stay the course with your original structure..for example if Liam Shiels kills it 2 weeks in a row its a side ways trade or downgrade from Premo to get him then another trade once his price max's out..gotta get it right from the get go, doubt anyone can afford these extra trades along the way.  8) 8)

You can out a rookie who might look like only making 100K for a player like Ellard who could make 200K

As mentioned Jack Martin could be traded (is Martin a mid? IDK)

For example the equivalent of someone like Clurey in the mids who appears to be a spud that quite a few teams (myself included) jumped on could trade him to Ellard. Unfortunately Clurey is not a mid, but somebody you have might be a Clurey equivalent.

Like if Michie goes back to back 30s after 2 rounds for 60K more and 1 trade I'm going to upgrade to Ellard if he has 2 scores of 90+ and looks likely to make an extra 150K over Michie.

Ellard does this sort of thing every year, doesn't he, then fades into oblivion when opposing teams start manning him up.

I was actually thinking about him over Polec but changed to Polec at the end and kept the cash. So no big loss for me. I don't really like Ellards JS and he seems to enjoy the vest too...

Surely Ellard's JS is better than Mick's.
