Who's everyone going for this week? Either, none or both? Both have a reasonably good record against the Power...

Jazzoskies

I got Dale myself, not sold on Murphy at all.

Yeah I'm split. Thomas probably won't get tagged and should scored solidly but Murphy has a better track record and a massive ceiling.

Windigo

Gone with Murphy.

Dale should be okay but I think with the free hit it might be better to see how he goes and assess next week..

I'm going Shiels over both in fantasy

Daisy in RDT though

Flame

i went with daisy ... probably should have watched the nab cup ... didn't occur to me that mr. malthouse is using his prize recruit as a lead up forward out of the goal square ... must think daisy is travis cloke or something

crazy.

will not be in my team after r1

DT Gun

carltons game plan is about rushing the ball as fast as they can in transition and they dont over use it or slow play it..

I wont be touching any carlton players this year because they arent playing a dt friendly game

I'm most likely going to drop Daisy for Wines. He was fantastic and I'm thinking this is his 2nd year breakout. Wingard is another one I'm completely happy I've selected, I think he'll push high 90's and who knows what Polec is going to do. He's already stealing points from Boak & Hartlett, not that I'm complaining :) I think Port is the next fantasy team and I'm going to jump on a few more of there players after this round (so far only Wines). Daisy was incredibly disappointing and besides Kade Simpson I wouldn't go near any Carlton players

slightly off topic, but is it just me or do carlton look like structureless clueless rabble everytime they play?

worse than nab auskick out there last night ... don't think they ever strung a number of possessions together, all their players just bomb the ball forward, their time in possession must be lowest in afl surely

Not sure which game you were watching mate, Daisy was rested in the foward line only a handful of times, certainly wasn't used as a lead of full forward

only time i saw him in first half (which was when i made the post) he was playing out of the goal square although i missed the first part of the first quarter, then he got moved into mids in 2nd half, didn't touch it, and then spent rest of the game wing/forward

could have got a slightly better score if he was able to convert his shots at goal, completely tanked 3 fairly regulation set shots iirc

Well being at the game i saw Thomas start in the guts on several occasions particularly in the first quarter and start of the second before he was probably rested at half forward at times. But he certainly wasn't playing out of the goal square.

Should have kicked at least 2 of those set shots which did impact his scoring

fair enough, but from what i saw of the game he was mostly deep forward with the occasional ineffective midfield burst ... so can only comment on what i see

either way... he was shower but will obviously be better for the run, if only the blues weren't so terrible with the ball (what little they had of it) he would've got a few more easy touches ... for instance jaminson in the final quarter kicking the ball straight to a port player despite daisy calling for it in at least 20 meters of space on the forward flank

In regards to Daisy, I'd be very concerned with his ankle. It was his right ankle which he had the troubles with which is his kicking foot. His goal kicking and also his around the ground kicking seemed to lack power - struggling to make the distance on a 30m set shot. I'd be concerned that he either doesn't trust his own ankles, or that they're injecting him with pain killers making it difficult to kick...

I didn't start him, and am glad I didn't.

Went with Shiels instead.
