I have 355K for a midfielder and i cant decided out of the above players. I was leaning towards Daisy based on his previous form over the past few years however his injuries bother me.

Savage appeals as he was pretty good at the hawks and had some massive scores and i think given more midfield time at the saints could do very well

Shiels had a good NAB cup but im not 100 percent convince. I think once sewell and some other injuries come back he will go back to his tagging role and subsequently score less.

Mcrae could have a breakout season but im still not sold

What does everyone think? Thanks in advance for you replies

How many rookies do you have in your midfield?

Voted Daisy given his scoring ability in the past. Savage could do well though with Dal moving to NM and Steven out for 6-8 weeks he is bound to get mid time at the Saints and a chance to stake a claim there long term.

Of that lot I voted daisy. Find another rookie and upgrade somewhere else?

Caddy - could make more money than these guys as is cheaper, DPP could be handy.

Thanks for the quick replies guys

I already have Caddy. Im not complete convinced by him but his price is too good to ignore. As for rookies in the middle I have Tyson, Cunningham and Dunston. I went with a bit of a different tactic and loaded up in the middle.

I think at the moment im leaning towards Daisy or Savage

If thats you mids i'd definitely grab Michie/Polec/Ellis and upgrade elsewhere. Maybe Caddy to a premium if your not convinced.

Savage is really tempting me, think he will smash it for saints

How much coin do you have for the premium? You should have Roughly 500k so i'd go JJK or Gunston.

bkp130

Yeah im thinking Cyril, Gunston, JJK , Zorko

Still not 100 percent convinced by any of them either. Im thinking maybe savage and leave caddy but its a big risk. Although big risk = big reward

Depends what Caddy is, if he is your F3 then thats just way to light and need a premium instead, but if he is F4 you should be able to get away with it.

By the way, i really like Shiels, Langford is almost guaranteed to play early and lets hope he can cement his spot in the side meaning Shield will be let loose. Is a jet when he doesn't have to follow anyone.

So my advice:

If Caddy is F3, downgrade Thomas/Shiels to Polec and go Caddy to Gunston (pocket the extra cash)

If Caddy is F4, leave him there and pick Shiels

bkp130

Currently have Caddy at F5 hahaha first 4 are Danger, Martin, Parker, Dahlhaus, Caddy, Rohan

I looked on footywire at shiels averages of the past and 2011 when he wasnt tagging he averaged 91. If he can up that by 7-10 ppg he could be a great pickup for the season so i might go with him.

RaisyDaisy

Tough call this. Of the 4 I wouldn't pick Savage

Daisy has the history, but I'd be tossing up between Macrae and Shiels I reckon, just for a nice POD

Either way, they should all score 80+ each week and make you cash

Ricochet

Currently have both Shiels and Thomas (if langford plays). Really can't split the two tbh. Daisy is more proven however.
Another option is Koby Stevens who I think will have a big year but he's a but more expensive
