The Pats tend to do that to ya. Looking back on it, Detroit possibly cost themselves the game by being too conservatives on 4th and short, Flacco had a brain fart throwing that deep ball late against the Pats, Dez could have just made the percentage play on 'that catch' and booked Dallas a spot in the NFC title game. And then you've got the Packers who completed the biggest choke in sports history.

Point is, elite dudes make mistakes, and Pete Caroll is an elite coach.. Doesn't change the result though. Pats are champions for the 4th time in 14 years. A truly remarkable run by one of the greatest player/coach combos in sports history.

Pete won a national championship and four rose bowls at USC too remember, and college ball FTW

Speaking of success in college and pros...

Brady's victory yesterday is more impressive than any of Montana's..

328 yards and 4 TDs against one of the best defensive units in NFL history. Had a QBR of 97 in the 4th quarter to bring us back from 10 down. And he did it without a Jerry Rice level receiver.

He's the best to ever do it.

Think it's ridiculous that more people are talking about Pete Caroll's play calling than what was the greatest interception in NFL history.

Sure he probably should have given it to Lynch, but Butler made one of the great plays ever and it's being overshadowed ???

after hearing the the facts my opinion has changed about the situation in general.

still think its a dumb play to call.

seattle had been running it most of the year.

belicheat had it practiced in run throughs.

buttler talked about how slow he was on it during the week and that belicheat told him he needs to be quicker at jumping the route.

in hindsight checkmate belicheat, take notes kids thats how u do ur homework.

Capper

played the coach well there

Brady beat Russell Wilson, somebody who nobody will remember in 20 years' time. Montana not only beat but OBLITERATED Dan Marino (9xPro Bowl, 6xAll Pro, MVP, College HoF, Pro HoF) 38-16 and John Elway (9xPro Bowl, 3xAll Pro, MVP, Pro HoF) 55-10. That's two top five QBs of all time right there.

Speaking of Wilson, now that he's been exposed who should replace him? I know who I want...

People make it sound like Montana never lost. He threw a pick six in a playoff game vs the Vikings, got benched in that same game, scored 3 points 2 years in a row against the Giants. Brady never put up 3 points in a playoff game.

Montana won 16 playoff games and lost 7
Brady has won 21 and lost 8
Brady has the 2nd best career completion to interception ratio.
Montana is 10th with Jerry flowering Rice as receiver.
The year when Brady had a Rice level receiver, he threw 50 TDs

Accomplished more than Montana with less talent around him. And he's still going.
P.S. We're the youngest team to ever win a Super Bowl.

nas

celebration to the max.
