You're just lucky I didn't mention the Niners comminication jamming as well as the blatant salary cap violations.

Oh you mean the stuff that nobody cares about because it's either irrelephant or didn't happen? Yeahh riiiiiight mateeeee

So Rodgers robbed Watt of the MVP

AP and the system robbed JJ, not Godgers. An all-time great season by a D player will always struggle to beat an very good season by a QB. Watt's just going to have to live with only being the AP and PFF DPOTY, Pro Bowl DMVP, All-Pro 1st team (DE) and 2nd team (DT).

Great defense will always beat great offense. You are also underrating the Hawks rushers. They lost CC but he missed the SB last year anyway. They have enough edge rushers and the secondary will give them enough time to get to Brady. While GB choked that defesne was still causing turnovers. The Pats D is better then the Pack but the Pack offense>>>>>>Pats. The Hawks also have a real good ST unit. This will be about all 3 facets of the game and Seattle should be able to win in two of those. Wagner is also really good sideline to sideline and I expect him to be huge in trying to contain Gronk with Kam. The only thing that I can see really helping the Pats is Browner due to him knowing that scheme so in depth. He might be able to help identify some of the looks the Seattle D throw the Pats way
Pats have a top 5 offense and a top 10 defense, those kind of numbers wins SuperBowls. I think people aren't realising how tough it will be for Seattle to score in this game. We'll stack the line and try to limit Beast Mode and force Wilson to throw from the pocket.. Good luck with that Russ. As for when we have the ball, the Hawks were 14th in adjusted sack rate so they aren't exactly elite at getting to the QB. I think the Packers offense is slightly better than ours but there isn't that much in it (watch the GB vs NE game.. Brady and Rodgers were going head to head). Special Teams? Really? Seahawks rank 20th in ST DVOA.. The Pats are 5th. I think that's a huge advantage for us in this matchup.

Jay how many times do we have to tell you DVOA is useless. No one uses it.

The Seattle special teams looks worse because of the Rams and Packers game but if you go back and watch their last month and a bit they are back to their dominant selves. I got a look of them first hand when they completely destroyed Philly (who had the top special team unit in the league). Hauschka has some uncharacteristic misses in one of the games (might have been Zona) but they are still one of the premier groups in the league. Maragos made that unit better last year but they still are pretty elite since they are one of the only teams that let the starters go out on ST.

Also Wilson can make the throws and buy time, good luck stuffing Lynch and allowing him to get the edge, the dude had a bad game and everyone is jumping on him like he is RGIII. The lack of the WR's might hurt if New England can get quick pressure but he will buy time for those guys to get open. He is a throw first run second QB which is different for a guy that has his running ability.

Avril and Bennett will still collapse the pocket and they also have a number of LB'ers they can send on blitz packages, it isn't all about sack numbers, they still get pressure and hits on the QB.

Well I haven't seen any other way to quantify special teams performance without just being subjective.

I agree, Wilson is really good but he isn't the passer Brady is. Not even close. Chandler Jones is going to be huge in this matchup, he needs to get some pressure on Wilson.

Nope its bcos the belicheats do seedy under handed stuff, breaching salary cap isn't a good look but id take that over ball tampering and recording another teams practice so you know their signals, gonna have to accept it mate, they have brought all the hate and attention to themselves

T Dog

If I was going to "invest" $20 on the winner, who should I go with?  ???

JBs-Hawks

Whoever you like more, or toss a coin :P

JBs-Hawks

Or like less then its win/win? :P

Most of the football experts are picking Seattle. Think the gambling odds are only as close as they are because of the Pats' awesome performance last week. :)

C'mon dude, that's pathetic. The ball tampering shower hasn't even been proven yet. The only facts are that 11 of 12 footballs were deflated - that's no evidence of us tampering with the balls. As far as we know the balls were inflated to the lowest legal limit when the refs weighed the balls and in the next 2 hours before the game, the weather slightly deflated them. And the only other fact is that there is a video of the ball boy taking the footballs into the bathroom for 90 seconds.. Do you know what takes about 90 seconds? Taking a piss, washing your hands etc. People presuming he took them in there and deflated 11 footballs in 90 seconds is ridiculous.

Jukes

Didn't Bill Nye call the weather deflation thing out as total BS?

That was one incident and we got heavily dealt with. 6 SuperBowl appearances all because of that one incident?

Jukes

Oh wow a BOSTON COLLEGE professor couldn't be bias, right?

QuoteFor #DeflateGate, we use absolute temps (Rankine scale). Changing pressure 15% would mean 15% absolute temp drop = 80-deg R. Did not happen.

u can deny what is all u like, truth be told i feel bad for ya being a fan of them, they have made a spurs like run but to me it doesnt carry a lot of weight, just like barry bonds, just like alex rodriguez, just like roger clemens, just like the 19-1 patriots etc i saw something i thought was historical and now i feel indifferent about it.
