JJ Watt flower you are a GOD and deserve to be MVP

20.5 sacks, first player to ever have 20+ twice, and in only four years too. Not even LT, Reggie, Smith etc did that, and they're all 4-3 DEs or OLBs who always get more sacks than 3-4 DEs.
32 points of scoreboard contribution - 3 offensive touchdowns, pick six, fumble six, safety. More than Fitzgerald and Wayne combined.
3 forced fumbles, 5 fumbles recovered

Mat0369

He made an awful D look above average. He and Foster carried that team and I also think he deserves the MVP.

Jay

Watt for MVP. Don't understand why everyone is just giving it to Rodgers.

Mat0369

It's because they are the two clear best players in the league.

38 TD's and only 5 picks. 40 total TD's and only 7 total TO's. Tied most completions over 40 yards on the season, he threw over 100 times more then Romo and had the 2nd best passer rating by a point. Add in they are the 2 seed while the Texans didn't make the playoffs

ask Sherman who is the best WR in the league #ThrowUpTheX

If it wasn't for Watt texans would've finished 4-12 at best not 9-7. It's hard to compete with Fitzmagic/Mallett/Keenum/Savage as your QB. Texans only had Watt and Foster make the pro bowl, while packers had Rodgers, Jordy, Clay, Kuhn and Sitton (not to mention Cobb had 1300 yards and 12 tds) and cowboys Romo+Murray+Dez+Martin+Frederick+Smith.

Rodgers and Romo have had great seasons in the most valuable position of all, but Watt has had surely the greatest defensive season of all time with all the sacks, tfls, touchdowns, FF+FRs and PDs, and deserves MVP.

And on the niners, why couldn't we tank one more game to get a better pick :/ really hope we trade up and take Cooper or Scherff. Was a good win doe, Gore and Kaepernick FINALLY starting to run it as much as they can which is what the gameplan should be, no trying to turn him into Peyt. Give Roman one more season to get his act together or get the flower out. Very good pickwork by Dahl, Culliver and Wilhoite, if only we had Willis and Bowman and Borland playing most of the season.

I still think Watt deserves it, his season has been insane, but the NFL tends to reward the offensive side of the ball, especially QB's and Rodgers season has been pretty ridiculous when you look at his turnover numbers.

While you can say blah blah blah was a Pro Bowl selection, most of these guys get in on name or if they have a good season in a winning team. Kelce and Shady are probably examples of this. Kelce was injured for a fair portion of the season and when he came back he wasn't himself, I think people recognise him as the best center in the league so he got in based on that. Shady has had a poor season by his standards but he went into this week 5th in rush yards and managed to finish 3rd total rush yards after the Giants game. That actually caught me by surprise so he probably doesn't count. Fletcher Cox has had a beast season and was named in the top 10 defensive players in the league on NFL.com yet he is the 10th alternate at his position.

While Rodgers has guys to throw to, in part the reason they are so great is because they have Rodgers throwing them the ball, he makes Jordy and Cobb better and without Rodgers that team might have also gone 4-12. Last year they were f'ed when he got injured last year an barely made the playoffs. They went 2-5-1 without him only beating horrible Falcons and a terrible Dallas D last year.

My point is that while I think Watt should win it, don't discount how good Rodgers season has been, they are the CLEAR 1 and 2

Found it pretty funny that JJ was AP first team at DE and AP second team at DT

It's a pretty solid team, but...
Harris > Sherman+Grievous
Harris...on Smith > Thomas
Sitton > Yanda
and most of all,
Jordy >>> Dez

Also, good to see Maxx Williams declare. He was huge against Missouri yesterday, and had a very big play against us when we played them this season. Had 3 TDs on 5 catches against Iowa too. I'd rate him first round but could definitely slip to second.

Mat0369

Fletcher Cox was 2nd team and got some votes at DT as well. It's good to see he got some recognition because he deserved to make the Pro-Bowl
