Blah blah, we deserved those super bowls. I'm just pointing out that if you start to look at refs calls as the reason the Niners haven't won, then you can do the same thing for New England...

You do realise that Edelman had 105 receptions for 1,056 yards and six touchdowns last year? Not bad numbers considering he's an EXCELLENT punt returner too.

Brady finally got a good offensive weapon in Randy Moss and he put up all-time record numbers - that SB should just never be spoke of again. Remember, we were still 2nd in ppg last season and thats without Gronk... I expect us to be better offensively this year and everyone knows our defense will be better now we have Revis!

Wanna bet? Yeah it was, he would still have been a major part of our team had he not gone down. Our main weakness was defending the run and he's about as big of a stuffer as you can get! Had no Mayo too...

Jukes

Boldin caught 7 tds as a 33-year-old second receiver without the "best quarterback of all time"

18-1 hahahahahahaha

Revis is injury prone and barely top 5 DBs in the league. Less Wilfork and Spikes, not even an improvement on an average defence. The offense will not be as good. Brady is almost 90, won't be getting better.

I'll make a bet.

btw considering making this my new dp, maybe you'll do the same?

Jay

Brady is the 2nd best of all-time, Montana still first mate. You do know that we've won 3 superbowls since you won your last one, right?

Revis is the #2 corner in the game and will get back to #1 after this season imo. Browner is a good pickup too. But we didnt have Wilfork last year and we wont have him again this year? So its really just losing Spikes but gaining Revis, Browner and also getting Mayo back healthy... I think that points towards an improvement.

The offense will be better, Brady has had a whole season to work with Edelman, that combination will only improve. Amendola cant be any worse than last season. Thompkins showed promise in his rookie season (g/w TD vs. Saints) and can only improve. Heck, we might even have Gronk healthy come playoff time! We showed at the later stages of the season that we actually have a quality running game too. We'll be an improved team.

Nice dp. But I think I'll go with this one.

Peyton > Brady. Five MVPs don't lie, may not have won a lot of super bowls but he has won it and there's no asterisk next to it like *some* other quarterbacks.

And you can't say that because you haven't witnesses your side win an owl either! Only jumped on the bandwagon after they'd been won.

I prefer, aside from Sherman, Tillman, Haden, Petersen and Flowers.

All I saw in the next paragraph was a lot of "we"

Reminding me that we were 6 points short of being the best team in the nfl, and 30 points ahead of the next best team?

Sherman>Revis>Haden>>>>>everyone else

Jay

Brady > Peyton. Three rings dont lie. I dont see no asterisk next to our three... But I do see one next to the Giants for the flukiest drive of all-time!

I was just stating facts, we've won 3 in the 2000s, SF have won none!
>Accuses me of jumping on the bandwagon
>Posts a pic of a man that hasnt played in tens of years

Well Revis is big-time. I sense a bit of butthurt, maybe because Revis would have helped the Niners weak seconday, maybe? Lol that you said Revis is injury prone - he played every game last year. I have Haden at 3.

I'm reminding you that you lost to the arch rival on their way to a super bowl and all due to a INT from your QB :o

Jukes

Who needs a secondary when you have arguably four of the top ten linebackers in the league, including probably three of the top five (Bowman, Smith, Willis, Cushing and Kuechly) and Justin Smith in your defensive line.

5 MVPs > 2
13 Pro Bowls > 9
7 First Team All Pro > 2

I'd probably rank Johnny U, Marino and Stevie Young over Brady. Elway and Graham too.

Seahawks aren't a real rival. In 10 years time when they're back to their perennial 7-9 records there won't be any twelvies to rival with. I'd be much more unhappier losing to the Raiders (eternal showerness aside), Rams or Cowboys.

Jay

Secondary is pretty important tbh and New England will have an awesome one this season. The question is, how are the Niners gonna score on dat Seahawks D with Crapernick and an ageing Gore?

3 rings > 1
18 playoff wins > 11

Tbh I think Brady is pretty close to a unanimous #2... Montana the clear 1. I dont even have Manning top 5. I got Montana, Brady, Marino, Elway, Favre.

They're in your division and they're the best team in the league - seems like a rival to me.

Jukes

Crapernick? What happened last time he played the pats? Gore still has it, as seen by playing pro bowl after near-career best yard and touchdown counts.

Brady had a good team around him, all Manning ever had was Reggie Wayne. MVPs speak louder than team performance if comparing single players.

Can I post two images in one post?

Cheers Mat.

I am referring to the part in bold in particular. Manning is the best regular season QB of all time, but the fact Jukes only mentioned Wayne shows how little he knows of the Colts team in the 00's

Jukes

Who will seriously remember guys like Harrison, Freeney and Saturday in a decade's time?

Big Vince is staying a Patriot.
