Free agency for the upcoming season is in full swing, seems like a perfect time for the new thread! The draft not too far away, who do you want your team to grab?

AFC has been shaken up by the Pats acquiring Revis and Denver getting Talib. Will these two teams again play for a spot in the superbowl?

Seahawks to defend their title as SuperBowl champions? We'll see.

Jay

Pats sign Bowmer to go with Revis 8) loving this defence already! But we could lose Wilfork... Unsure how that will play out. I want to keep him, but not for the $$$ he is signed to atm.

I reckon Pats will get to the Super Bowl this season.

Colts signing Nicks is a huge move as well.

Jay

Think we have to release Wilfork, just too expensive for a 33yr old coming off an achilles injury. Obviously will need to find a replacement for him, but there's plenty of quality free agents left at that position we could sign imo.

Really need to keep Edelman, had good chemistry with Brady last season and was basically our only weapon offensively. Good on punt returns too!

As for the draft, I think we are desperate for a TE, at least until Gronk returns! Who is recovering well btw. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/24481519/video-rob-gronkowskis-rehab-appears-to-be-coming-along-well

If we lose Edelman and don't find an adequate replacement, I can't see it happening even though our D will be awesome...

Steve Smith to the Ravens is huge too imo

I wouldn't be too quick to get rid of Wilfork id keep him for this season and see how he goes. Like i said on chat if Gronk remains fit for the entire season you can pretty much lock them in for the SB.

Bengals are my roughie to make the SB this season.

Certainly won't be disappointed if we do keep him but just think we could get similar production from a much cheaper player... If we get 2011 Gronk back, we should make the SB. We'll see how he returns, but even if he isnt what he once was, will still have a huge influence on our offense imo. Just his presensce!

Nah not keen on Bengals, dont trust Andy Dalton. Colts and Ravens are my AFC roughies... Eagles will surprise a few I think too out in the NFC.

Eagles are about 1 season out from being a real threat. They still need some pieces on D with the 3/4 switch, mainly at safety and corner, and not some mediocre players like Jenkins and Carroll

Broncos > Pats easily. Far superior offense and what is shaping up to be a better defence, unless the new additions can't gel. And that's if they don't get flowered up for being over the cap by several billion :P

Early playoff tips:
AFC: Broncos, Colts, Pats, Ravens, Chiefs, Jags/Browns/Texans (whoever Johnny Football is drafted by)
AFC Championship: Broncos def Pats (again)

NFC: Niners, Packers, Saints, Eagles, Seahawks, Cardinals
NFC Championship: Niners def Seahawks

Niners win super bowl 49 30-17, totally impartial btw

Jay

Looking at the schedule, its very possible that the Pats could finish with the #1 seed... Meaning Peyton would likely have to travel to Foxboro if he wants to make another SB - good luck with that!

Seahawks will dominate their division for years. Cant see Niners getting a top 4 seed for a while and its hard to reach the SB without it!

I'm going with Jukes' worst nightmare... A Seahawks/Pats Superbowl

Jay

JULIAN EDELMAN STAYS A PATRIOT! Woooo ;D

Jukes

We've come within six feet and a knee from three consecutive owl victories. A huge wide-receiver such as a favourite aggie of mine Mike Evans would seal it. If Crabtree had been there last season we'd have beaten the Panthers and Aints, plus the refs didn't help in the aints and NFCCG games.

Broncos bring in Sanders too, a third receiver who is much better than Edelman. GOAT afc team.

Spikes gone too w/ Wilfork very close btw. Mass exodus?

Sorry, I dont see you beating the Seawhawks, especially in Seattle. Not with Crapernick anyway ::)

If you wanna talk about ref calls, look at the Pats losses to the Jets and Panthers... We could've had the #1 seed and make Peyton beat us in Foxboro. Who knows!

Edelman is actually pretty good, or maybe it just seems like it because he has the best QB in the game throwing it to him but it was still huge to keep him. Finally Brady doesnt have to find a new #1 receiver like he has the previous two seasons... Broncos aren't unbeatable. We can take them.

Spikes to Buffalo lol, good on him. You do realise that Wilfork is 33 and is coming off an achilles injury? We've re-signed Hoo-man and Edelman. Gone out and got 2 corners in Revis and Browner... And now we've signed a WR, LaFell for 3 years too. Things are looking good.

Jukes

ahahahaha, the team who refballed and spied their way to three super bowls says the refs screw them over, when the calls were both with the rulebook and still wouldn't have confirmed a win.

I'd take Patton over Edelman, and he's our third receiver. Didn't Brady have Randy Moss for half a decade yet fail to win an owl?

Wilfork will have career high numbers in sacks and tackles. Btw wasn't one of your main excuses for coming 4th having no Wilfork?
