Got Broncos -10.5/over 49.5, Chiefs -1.5/under 42.5, Dallas -7.5/over 45.5  ;D

Chris Borland quickly becoming my favourite niner :3 18 and 17 tackles in two starts in Kuechly-like. Who needs Willis and Bowman when you have this guy. Also a good Wisconsin boy!

TEBOW TIME?!?!?

Capper

i was seriously looking at Borland last week but went with Wilhoite instead with DeAndre Levy on the bye.

Levy back this week ave of 10.5

Philly vs Green Bay could be a battle between the two best teams in the conference

But anyway Connor flowering Barwin <3 has never let me down in madden

The 9'ers are lucky Palmer tore his knee up. That opens that division back up because they will be lucky to make playoffs otherwise.

Definitely. Aren't a top 15 team at the moment.

Niners would beat the pats' sorry ass home or away, just like they did last time they met. Better offence, better defence.

Niners have a better offense than the Pats? Funniest thing I've heard all day.

I'm guessing you don't realise that the Pats are averaging 31.2 points per game, and the Niners are averaging 21.7? Not sure what evidence you have to support your statement to be honest. The Pats offense is clearly superior.

As for defense, New England are giving up 22 points/game, and the Niners are giving up 22.4. So as far as I see it, defense is a 50/50 while offense is a clear win to the Pats.

In terms of weighted DVOA (probably the best stat in measuring how teams are performing), New England are 7th and San Fran and 20th. New England coming off a huge victory over the Broncos who everyone was claiming are clearly the best team in the league.

7-2 is better than 5-4.

DVOA is not a legit stat Jay. No one uses it. Pro Football Focus probably have the most accurate stats but you have to pay for it. Stats can also be skewed, Philly are the best example of this. While they give up big yardage totals and get beat in TOP it is because they score and run plays at a very high rate. That's why Chip Kelly's doesn't look at those stats, he looks at number of offensive plays run per game and wants around 70 a game. You also have to take into account quality of opposition, if a team plays a bunch of weak opposition their stats will look better.

This is me in no way saying that the 9'ers are better then the Pats, they aren't. The Pats aren't very good either, the best team in the AFC is still the Broncos. The Pats will lose to at least the Colts and Packers, the Broncos won't drop another game. They will be the 1 seed and playing at Mile High is different to playing at Foxborough

There are plenty of ways you could show, I just decided to use points because it's easy to understand. But you're always going to come to the same conclusion anyway.

Pats are better than the Niners.

Mat0369

Points is a better indicator the yards allowed stat. The Pats run a hurry up offense a bit which means they are still getting their overall plays, but the defense sees the field more due to higher play vs time of possession rating. I guess the Texans are in the opposite sitatuion. They have an average D and JJ Watt who makes them look brilliant at times. However they are on the field due to ishy QB play. Hence why they run Foster so much.

Jay

The AFC Championship Game being in Foxboro is getting more likely each week! :-*

I like Borland, very good player who should have gone much earlier. Probably our best pick of the draft so far. Give some competition and depth to our already great linebacker group, will compete with Wilhoite for a starting spot until Bowman returns.

Called it :3 48 tackles, 2 picks - 1 match-saving - and a match-winning fumble recovery in 3 games, what a beast.
