its a nice plan mate but here are my thoughts.

I strongly advise against chasing this score. What happens if you bring in a non playing rookie and in a week or two langdon gets dropped. And also think of byes. You don't take these kinds of risks with rookies and need as many playing as possible
Just also want to add... what if LMac or Langford ton up as well? Its a marathon not a sprint guys

I did it last year and had a grand total of zero donuts for the year. Not to mention the mountain loads of extra points I got by using the emergency loophole. It can certainly work.
Difference is that we've been lucky with the last few years with the two expansion clubs. Now they are more established they won't pay as many rookies. There will be rookies but not as many as previous years or with as solid job security

RD you are talking about 40 points. How many times this year will you field someone over someone else and get less points? How many times will you stick with a VC score only to see another of your captain options score more? No one in supercoach has the perfect season. No one. Not even the bloke who comes first at the end of it!

It's all about luck and perseverance. For all you know McDonald or Langford could score a 90 and you would only miss out on 20 points. All the guys who don't take Pendles VC could out it on Gaz for him to do a hammy 5 minutes into the first quarter. Just don't think there is any need for it. Seize the moment, learn from it and move on. Next round start Langdon on the field.

Don't take this the wrong way, completely fine with your idea, in fact it's ingenious if you want to go down that path. But I'll just cop it on the chin and deal with it. There are plenty more times we will stuff up during the season and plenty of times we will have a flukes master stroke. That's the game of supercoach.

That was well said, haha.

Thanks Vin!

I'm not against chasing it, but the games all about luck. Some weeks you got it and some weeks you don't.

It's tempting to do it to grab Langdons score I have him as a back emergency but what if this happens in the mids then the forwards as well you can't have three non players it would cost you to much cash , at the moment I have Georgiou on the bench as well will see what happens with him and who knows next week there could be another player out of my backline anyway but have to admit that score in round 1 would be nice

Have a read through my numerous posts in this thread after my OP. I've said numerous times this is not about getting Langdons score - that is just a bonus of this approach

This approach allows me to loophole McDonald/Langford and Langdon every week, plus it gives me a link between def/mid just incase a rookie mid gets dropped or rested. This is why I am doing this. I see this being far more profitable then just having Crouch sitting at M10

Alright what if Langdon only scored 60 would you still do it so you could loophole every week , would you even be thinking about it ??

Absolutely.

Langdon/Langford/McDonald are the 3 I have and one needs to be D6, so each week the guy playing first will be my E, if they score well I put Hunt on field to get their score, if they score average I get a second crack and put one of the other two on field

With these 3 there could easily be weeks were on of them pumps out a 90+ score and the other/s score a 60 or get subbed, so having the chance to get those extra points is far more advantageous to me then having Crouch sitting at M10.

I have 29 other players who can generate cash, so maximum points takes priority

And so I assume Hunt is no chance to get games soon? If he does, doesn't this eliminate the benefit?

sammy123

Nice write up RD. But agree with rico

No chance of getting a game unless the Dees get a heap of injuries. Hunt looks to be a good player but is very raw and from all reports not ready for AFL just yet.

From what I can see he isn't injured, and he didn't play at all during the NAB and practice match, so surely his no chance to play anytime soon

Bully

The way people are talking I'm assuming Langford is absolutely guaranteed a game next week? What if he's not named? Perfect scenario - best rookie defender & 111 points.
