The Herald Sun are reporting that Buddy may not play.
Here's the article, it doesn't really give much away though. This is kinda concerning, but I wouldn't read too much into it, I still feel he'll play.

Southstorm

Bully

Why are people surprised? He regularly misses games, he's almost worse than Rioli on that front.

Hmm will be watching closely before game starts. Reckon he will play if not it's a downgrade to Parker!

I'll just get TMitch instead if he's out, doubt he will be though.

In light of this, for the first round, can we keep trading players until their particular game starts? As in can i trade Buddy and Rohan to Roughead and a rookie if Buddy is withdrawn?

Yep, you sure can.

So many signs pointing to get this guy out of my side.. Yet I just can't do it

Only gonna have myself to blame if he spuds it or does an injury

if you take him out and then he boots 7 and ends with 150+ you'll also only have yourself  :P works both ways haha

Yeah that's right it's damned if u do damned if u don't with Buddy. With fwd rookies light and Pav cheaper I can't fit him in.

He could avg 110 but he could also miss 5 games due to injury / suspension. The fact he is still a KPP (esp now at Swans with Tippett/Goodes out) and prone to inconsistency means we can pick him up for a similar price later on. Did it last year and it worked scored well from when I bought him cheap.

This thread might as well be pinned for the entire year.

Yes but last year he dropped by 25ppg so thats why you got him so cheap. If he goes anywhere near his 115 avg of 2012, lets say 110, he will rise in price to around 550k+

Also, in 2013 he never reached above 125. In 2012 he reached 125 5 times.  Also, last time he dropped in 2009, he dropped by 20 then went straight back up to 107. This year he will do the same, keep him out at your peril.

Franklin has been in and out of my side all preseaon with him falling out for the entire last month, now i have just checked and he is only in 19% of teams! For some that is priced at 90 and delivered 115 in 2012! I'm now locking him, always room for a side ways trade or too with the 30 trades if it backfires.

If he didn't miss so many games it would be a no-brainer to pick him.

I lol'd!  :D   ;)

if you're confident with all his issues that he's still goin to go up in coin & score you the points, you take him ...

if you're not and think he's too much risk, you monitor and he can be an upgrade target ...
