Just a few points:
-McVeigh is too expensive and might not play as much down back with Shaw, Laidler and Johnson coming in. Will look at him as an upgrade target.
-Not sure on F3, Have Buddy atm but could definetly change to Gunston which would save me 40k for correction trades before round 3.
-Will stick with Impey even if not named, don't think it is worth finding and extra 38k for McDonough, not sold on his JS and could be the sub.

Your point on Mcveigh is valid.  However the same can be said for  selecting  Simpson as Carlton now have Daisy & Docherty who will spend time running of 1/2 back/wing. I would personally go McVeigh any day of the week over Simpson.
I too have buddy as F3, will prob stick with him but would prob consider Cloke/Roughy.  I think the key fwds wil be in for a big year as the AFL new rules now allows more 1 on 1 contests without the risk of giving away an easy free kick
I think your Impey comment is 100% spot on.

Overall a pretty solid side mate.

Defence - The only one im not sure about is hurn. There is a lot of hype aboit him but im personally not sold on him. Other than that it looks very solid.

Mids- I think watson could be a good POD and other than that another solid line

Ruck-  The berger is a good choice and i thonk everyone has sandi

Fwd- Im personally not sold on either caddy or buddy however a lot of people have them. I definatley cant see buddy having another good season however thats a personal opinion

Backs: I hope that Hurn and Suckling live up to expectation but the line looks pretty solid.  Enright is usually solid but is getting on a bit.
Mids look good.
Rucks are the same as mine was - changed Derickx as not selected (Currie?)
Fwds - I am avoiding Higgins as I simply don't trust him.  I reckon there are better choices than him.

Overall I think you have a pretty good team there.

Im not convinced on franklin, and having all 3 of caddy, higgins and rohan might not be too good. id go with 2.

Strong team i like the 4 rookie midfield on the field strategy.
Def: Solid Enright is becoming a popular pick.,Hurn is an excellent pick too. Be interesting too see whether Macdonald gets a game next week.
Mids: Strong Premiums and good choice of rookies
Rucks: Strong line here Leuey should have an average of 100 a game
Fwds: Your fwds are exactly the same as mine so excellent line here too.
