Roos does not like playing kids. But he is a serious talent. Have to pick Impey or him really.

Thoughts?

Rekon JKH will play games and has good JS but can't see him averaging to well but would go JKH** due to his JS

Vinny

I'm actually pretty confident.

90% to play IMO.

No Dawes, Hogan or Clark.

They pretty much have no forward line - He has to play.

Impey could be dropped easily not sure they can afford to not play JKH.

Good in NAB too.

Add that guys like Davey have retired, he is the only livewire they have now. Perfect for F8

yeah they need to get games into him will be a gun crumbing off Hogan for years

Exciting forward Jay Kennedy-Harris is in contention to make his debut in round one but Roos was non-committal about whether or not he would play.

"He did show the intent and the endeavour and the running capacity and the commitment to play AFL football [with Casey Scorpions on Saturday]. He's definitely in the discussion process as we move through the week," Roos said.

Not sure what to think about that tbh

Jroo

Melbourne are pretty thin in the small fwds department, so I think he will line up in round one.

I was positive that Fasolo would play round 1 so as for JKH and all the other rooks I will believe it when I see it

Vinny

Fasolo was never going to play round 1 man

Fasolo was never going to play round 1 man...

... because Collingwood's forward line is so potent!   ;D

Grufflez

Not even worried about the kid not playing...Maybe Roos dealt with Rookies differently at Sydney but this is Melbourne, be very surprised if he didn't give young blokes a run, JHK fills that small forward void at Melbourne perfectly.

I'm very confident that he will play this week. Can't wait to see him in action again following his awesome performance against the Tiges in NAB. Kid's a gun.

Paul Roos was just on AFL 360 and when asked about players to debut this year the 2 names he mentioned were JKH and Georgiou, surely they both play now
