First Split Emergencies.?

Hi guys.
Should we be placing the E on our playing rooks in the first half of the split?
I was thinking out of safety place the E on Clurey/Langdon/Rohan etc, possibly giving more flexibility for second half picks.?
I am thinking of going with this strategy along with expensive second half rooks on field and cash in bank?
Or leave the E free for later..?
Thoughts?
