Its all in front of laidler. Tony armstrong played rnd 1 last year and 6 of the first 7, but couldnt cement his spot.

Mattners spot is there but Rampe and soo to be Johnson are breathing down his neck.

Having Shaw named on the wing makes life easy for him too. Thats where a Goodes/Tippett coming in effects Laidler. Goodes/Tippett go into the fwds, Mcglynn/Jetta/Rohan go to the wing and Shaw takes the running HB role that Laidler is looking at.

Gut feel is that Laidler is a depth player. The swans will be over the moon if he plays well enough to keep his sopt, but more likely he is depth and not best 22

prob a good idea to have McVeigh if your going to have Laidler on the bench it seems so if McVeigh gets injured Laidler should be playing
