I'm going bonkers over here

24 hours ago I decided to go dump the premo R1 option and go with Hickey and Sandi, and I am still happy with that as I will start them, and it gives me time to see who the prem rucks will be as the year progresses because right now I have no idea and I don't want to get a Luey or Cox only to see thim average 100 or so

Once I decided to that I added a 5th premo mid, but now I have changed again, going back to 4 premo mids. I figure if I am going cheap in the rucks then I need to have all the best rookies in my team generating cash, so I have gone back to 4 premo mids and have all the good mid rookies

This now allows me to go really strong in my def and fwd, and I like this approach the most as the rookies here are not good, so I don't need to get them, but I am doing my head in trying to decide which guys to pick to fill out my def and back

At the moment I have

McVeigh, Mitchell, Simpson, Enright, Suckling, McDonald (Langford, Langdon)

Danger, Martin, Mitchell, Pav, Caddy, Bennedy (JKH, Impey)

My first 4 on each line, plus Caddy are locked, not changing them, but Impey JKH has me concerned as I feel it's not good enough cover.

Do I downgrade McDonald to Clurey, which allows me to upgrade Impey to Rohan?
Do I downgrade Suckling to Clurey, which allows me to upgrade Impey to Rohan and Bennedy to Higgins?
Do I dump Enright to Webster or Clurey and upgrade Bennedy and Impey to Higgins and Rohan and bank the cash incase Hickey or Sandi miss?

Can I afford to take out Suckling or McDonald, knowing that I am going lighter in mids and rucs and need to be stronger in these lines now?

I can downgrade McVeigh, but Hibberd and Hanley are the two options I like, one with a hammy and one that can get tagged, plus even though I know he will prob be cheaper later I still prefer to start with McVeigh

As you can this is doing my head in, and because Bennedy is involved I need to make a call today before tonights game

I think I might actually go McVeigh to Hibberd/Hanley (Can make a call on which one to get next week, hopefully Hibberd plays, and I will upgrade Suckling to McVeigh once Suckers make a bit of cash and McVeigh drops down a bit)

That allows me to upgrade Bennedy to Higgins, and I think with such a strong forward line now, I can afford to have Impey and JKH on bench

Right move you think? Also gives me 23k in the bank which is handy, as prior to that move I was tapped out with just $1700 left

Nah I am going with the option I said after the initial long post, and I am finally content and happy with my team. :)

replaced by A Walker (carl) & J Laidler (syd) thoughts on this, i'm thinking more upside if laidler gets games and swallow worries me a bit,been waiting for him to take the next step for a while now.

Haha RD after campaigning bloody hard for Cox I'm considering picking Hickey now also :P...

Would allow many positive changes to my team. Cox > Hickey then allows Cotchin > Pendlebury, Impey> Higgins (shuffle Rohan to F7, Caddy Higgins Bennedy F4,5,6) and 95k in change to make corrective trades if needed. This makes me feel better about the overall JS of my lines and bench, but I think I will take a hit points wise (Cox, Cotchin and Rohan I think would outscore Pendles Hickey and Higgins). Long term potential better though...

Yeah I have just come to the conclusion that none of the premo rucks have me 100% convinced, so I will go cheap there, allowing me to get all the good mid rookies and go strong down back and fwd

Really happy with my team now. Just one last decision to make. Suckling at D5 and Impey at F7, or Webster at D5 and Rohan at F7?

Wait and see if Impey is actually named to start. If he's emg or sub that answers your question. But Suckling will be so much better than Webster I think. Rohan better than Impey but not a huge margin I don't think. Assume you can't do Suckling and Rohan?
