We all have players who we've got a gut feeling about and we all know that trusting your gut usually pays off with Supercoach. So I want to ask:

Who are your top 2 gut feeling players that you just have to have in your team?

Mine are Caddy and Parker. Both are still in my team and have been there since day 1.

brudski

Caddy and pav are my two.

Right now my gut is making all sorts of noises but that could just be the leftover pizza I just polished off for breakfast..

Really the notion of "trusting your gut" when selecting your players is just a romantic idea that there is some spiritual power leading you to certain players. Your "gut feeling" will be wrong just as often as it's right but people are less inclined to mention when they got it wrong. The same as the "lucky friend" that everyone has who always wins when they bet or play the pokies.. They really lose as much as everyone else they just fail to mention those times.

Anyway my point is that supercoach is a numbers game. If you chose your players based on statistical evidence you will get it right more often than not. Picking your breakout players is trickier but there is still plenty for us to base it off. For example Josh Caddy was a high draft pick, coming into prime age, trained with the mids all summer, played mid all nab challenge, coaches and team mates have said he will play mid and have a big year.. So we get him in because we have a "gut feeling"? Or really is it because there is a fair amount of evidence to suggest it will be a good pick? I think the latter but call it a gut pick if you like

Yeah i really rate that pick! Have talked him up all pre season, if i had went with 4 premo backs then he would have been in but ATM i'm going with 3 and have chose the bigs; McVeigh, Mitchell and Simpson.

kilbluff1985

he is my D5

Hanley, Simpson, Birchall, Houli, Dunn, Suckling

Ricochet

I have two that I know will be fantasy relevant this year but just can't pick them
James Frawley and Andrejs Everitt

wow that could go either way I reckon. New freedom in a new team or more attention.
