I know I already did this a little while ago but the votes were a landslide towards buddy then in the past couple of weeks have been a landslide for Pav. On almost the eve of the season opener who are people leaning towards?

For me personally I orginally had both but cant pas up the value that Higgins and Caddy provide so have elected to go with a forward line of Dangerfield, Martin, Pav/Bud, Caddy, Higgins, Rohan (Jkh, rookie)

I have both at this stage mate. But if I had to choose one - Buddy. Far more upside as far as scoring potential. I don't think we'll see a below 90 ave for him where Pav, while I back him in to return to form, does have a few more queries naturally. Buddy for mine, I honestly think he'll fit in well at the Swans.

Yeah I had both for a long time too which is why im finding this decision so hard to make.

Good to see someone rates Buddy's ability to score well at a new side! Everyone else seems to think he will crash and burn

In same situation. that's pretty much my forward line Caddy  and Higgins too good a value to pass on. So it's Pav vs Buddy. Pav is a tad cheaper more consistent I'm going him ATM. Excellent PS and gunning for a flag. Buddy could explode but is also able to thro some poor scores and come down in price. I can't see him going much more than 110 at best anyway. Might fit both in structure still all depends on rookies named 2morrow!

I know! I don't understand the train of thought that he'll produce 90ave from now...
He is a jet. I don't think we'll be seeing him back to that brilliant 115. But certainly 100-105 is my expectation.

AHA o how the trends change ever so quickly #jumpaboardthebandwagon.
Was all Buddy in the last poll  ;)

pav. focal point of a gun team. franklin sharing with tippet goodes reid etc. if they get him up the ground how often will the ball get kicked over his head on the small scg?

RaisyDaisy

If I had the balls, I wish I could start Danger, Dusty then mids and rookies

Both of these guys are value no doubt, but like every other "premo" fwd I look at I wish I could just see how they go over the first 5 or so games, then make a call, because right now I have no idea and its going my head in, hence wishing I could just start the two locks and mid/rookie the rest, although I wont

Do u guys think Tippett and Goodes out early will help or Hinder Buddy?

Either - Less competition in fwd line more goals for Buddy?

OR - Forced to stay at home not roam and get possies - he's not that great at contested marks less points for Buddy?

help if i had to guess. it'll be kicked to him more

The thing people seem to forget is that Buddy is a superstar. People keep making out like he has to some how fit into Sydney's forward line.. He is Sydney's forward line! They will fit around him. He's the best forward of our generation. He had one quiet year due to an ongoing contract circus and the team trying to create a gameplan that didn't include him as much. Unless he forgot how to play footy in the past 12 months he is still gonna dominate games.. I don't doubt him at all in that way I just think that Pav is of equal value and will be back to great footy in 2014. Can hardly split them
