This has been doing my head in for days so i thought i would ask the FF faithful for their thoughts before i flip a coin :P

Have Daisy at M5 and McDonough at F6 ATM but I could strengthen the fwd line with Caddy at F5, Higgins F6 instead of F5 and have Aish on the Mid Bench. This would mean going to a 4/6 structure in the mids compared to my previous 4/1/5 stucture.

Thomas last 2 games before injury were a 150 vs STK and a 105 FRE but will he get back to his best quickly or is he short of a run. Caddy gives me the dpp and has had a good pre-season but how will his scores be affected when Selwood, Motlop, Christensen come back. I would hope to probably keep one of these mid pricers as a bench option in the end instead of using them as a stepping stone if they score 90+.

So the short question would be would you rather Daisy Or Caddy in your team for the year.

jfitty

I'd be trying to fit them both in if possible, but if you can only choose one go Daisy

Dayze

I'd go caddy.
Personally don't think there is much room for midpricers in the midfield. Rather attempt it in the forwards where the top 6-8 are much more unclear. Gives u time to assess the two or three forwards u missed and pick them up later.
I think it's pretty clear cut who the top 10 mids will b with maybe one or two surprises.

Yep ive had Daisy all along But Caddy's Nab was good and it will get McDonough off the field even though i think he is a better option than rohan.

Caddy for me too. If he can improve his efficiency a bit he would be great.

I have gone with neither. Both are awkwardly priced and will only be stepping stones to becoming keepers.
Both will not be super premos and if your lucky both will average between 80-90.
Reckon you are better going with two rookies and upgrading elsewhere.

Is no one else concerned about caddys apparent poor disposal efficiency like me? Seems regardless of how many times he gets it his supercoach scores will likely be much lower than dt scores because of his poor de

im trying to decide on caddy/tyson v daisy/rohan at the moment.  leaning toward dasiy purely as he has been a proven scorer before injury.  hopefully the new club will reignite him.

I really reckon Clarko has something up his sleeve with Langford letting Shiels run free..if only i had the balls to back myself in,as stated above though its hard to squeeze a mid priced midfielder in this year.
Hoping Dom Tyson gets the job done instead...fingers crossed for an 80-85 average.

Is it just me or is anyone else thinking that Caddy will be this years Karnezis?

Southstorm

I don't know why they'd start giving Caddy the vest now. After Rd.14 last year he played every game and averaged 82. There's a lot less risk with Caddy, well entrenched in the best 22, than Karnezis, someone who was coming off 7 games and looking to break into the team.

I kinda just meant by all the hype then the burn too come but I like your reasoning food for thought

This is why i pick shiels in my draft. Be great when they do let him off the leash.
Thanks for the input people. I will wait to see the teams, keep my options open and make a last minute decision. Mic's boy still in Atm though.

Daisy is the best choice - I am still not convinced McDonough will get named round 1

roti

Shiels is the one I am really considering, will beat both if he can avoid tagging IMO
