DEF: J. McVeigh, S. Mitchell, K. Simpson, S. Hurn, M. Suckling, L. McDonald (T. Clurey, W. Langford)
MID: G. Ablett, T. Cotchin, J. Kennedy, D. Beams, D. Tyson, V. Michie, J. Polec, X. Ellis (L. Dunstan, T. Langdon)
RUC: T. Goldstein, A. Sandilands (F. Thurlow, M. King)
FWD: P. Dangerfield, D. Martin, J. Roughead, J. Caddy, S. Higgins, G. Rohan (J. Kennedy-Harris, J. Impey)

CASH: $10,400
BYES: 9/9/12

DEF: This line seems to be a bit cookie cutter to a lot of teams but I've had it all along and with good reason. Got 3 premium defenders plus Hurn who is underpriced, has an easy early draw and moving up to a wing possibly, see him going 90+. Suckling is good value. McDonald most likely to get regular games. Clurey and Langford looked good in NAB and will be in if named.

MID: Gaz is a lock, Cotchin should get back to 115+ hopefully and I think if JPK's groin problems are in the past he could get back to best as he will kick more, both Cotch and JPK also showed in NAB they are both kicking goals which they both struggled with last year. Beams is a lock at that price. Tyson will be a key mid so good cash generator along with the next 3. Dunstan looks like he will get games and not sold on Langdon's JS but he does allow DPP to defence and if worst came to worst and he got early games and gets dropped after 2 games, etc. I can use him as an emergency loophole for a few rounds as I want the best mid rookies on field. Pendles will be in Round 9 without a doubt, my favourite player and kills me leaving him out but need the cash.

RUC: I have finally decided to get a set and forget ruck in Goldy, might not average 113+ again but I still see him going around the 110 mark. Not comfortable in selecting any other ruckman at the moment so his in. Sandi is amazing value for someone who can produce premium scores. Thurlow might get a gig early if upgraded for belly. King there for the captain loophole.

FWD: I have gone with 3 set and forget forwards as I find all the players under 500K too risky. Roughy has had 3 consecutive years around the 100 mark so im comfortable with him and hoping he can get more goals without buddy. Caddy looks in great nick and could average around 80ish, Higgins a lock at that price despite his injury risk, see him averaging 80 as well if he stays injury free. Many don't like having to start Rohan but I don't see why not, his cheap, has good JS and although his scoring history isn't great, with a full pre season I reckon his ready to shine in the forward line for the swans and produced scores of 71 and 66 in NAB, not bad for a F6 priced 176K in my opinion. JKH and Impey will hopefully be selected.

Great team mate, can't fault it! The only thing is I wouldn't trust Caddy and Higgins, but that's just me. All in all, a pretty decent side, with some great PODs (JPK, Simpson, Hurn)

Have a look at mine if you can: http://forum.fanfooty.com.au/index.php/topic,91092.msg1307721.html#msg1307721

Good luck  :)

Do you think Hurn will play 22 games?

No Pendals?

Is Cotchin injured?

Like your defence. As does half the FF community.

I will be getting McVeigh later as I will back one of Hanley, HIbberd if he plays, Enright or Taylor or Thompson to be top 10 by year's end. This saves me anywhere from $43100 (Thompson) to $65700 (Boris) that I can use to have your favorite from the start.

The GAJlebury CVC combo showers all over the Cotchlett combo - or any other you care to investigate over the first 7 rounds.

You're summary of your mids is telling. Words and phrases like - should get back to 115+ hopefully / I think if JPK's groin problems are in the past he could get back /my favourite player and kills me leaving him out but need the cash suggest you aren't confident with your team just yet, so call Pendles and apologise now.

Rucks are gold.

Roughy is one I worry about - yes, he'll be number one target in forward line, but will get more double teaming that previously, get less time on the ball and given he was Coleman medallist, he can't really get a lot better so he's likely to stay at or drop from 98 rather than kill it and go up a heap. This means he is safe to wait on. If you went Prince Pav instead of Roughy, I doubt you'd lose out and would free up another $93800.

So Pendles, Thompson and Pav cost less than Cotch, McVeigh and Roughy.
